Best Western Garden State Inn

Off to a bad start from the beginning with my card being charged a day early even though on the
website where i booked it clearly stated you will not be charged until you check in, called the hotel to inquire why and was talked over the whole time, and given a sorry excuse about their cancellation policy. When arriving we were given a room in which it wouldn’t lock, naturally we called the front desk, hours later they finally send a «technician» who proceeded to try and body slam the door shut and claimed that was acceptable because he got it to close. After threatening to call corporate we finally received a new room the next morning. Unfortunately the jetted tub didn’t work. At that point we just settled on the room and tried to enjoy our stay even though we were at our wits end with these people. At least this room was clean.

Sketchy Business! Terrible customer service and false advertisement!
Shows has Jacuzzi and a lot of amenities but was just a basic place to sleep. Not worth the $$. better to get something closer to A.C. near resorts.
They charged my card extra $ 30 and said it was for a «missing pillow» why would i take a pillow from a place crawling with prostitutes

If I could give this 0 stars, I would! This place was disgusting! My boyfriend and I were not expecting much it being a almost spur of the moment thing. When we checked in we were told our room was above the office. I’m pretty sure this is where the management and employees live. Outside their doors smelt of ramen noodles and B.O. When we walked into the room, the smell immediately went away and was replaced with heavy smoke smell. Knowing this was a smoking room, I was expecting it but not as bad as it was! Walking more into the room, I witnessed right away that the bed was obviously slept in, the trash was not emptied and their were cigarette butts all over ! I was completely disgusted! There were also ants and roaches everywhere! Getting a closer look at the bed, there were a few tissues and semen all over the bed. I was so appalled I walked out and wanted my money back. I had to call them to see what they could do. When I called them. The customer service representative told me that the hotel said they would upgrade us to a room with a king bed and a jacuzzi. I was so disgusted, I refused to stay there. I probably will not get a refund from Best Western but I am much happier staying at the Country Inn and Suites up the street from this Best Western. My final piece of advice is STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE!

Do not book this hotel. You’re better off getting a motel across the highway. This was the loudest place I had ever stayed in. There were people screaming and partying until 3am and no one stopped it. They are all Indians staffed and no one to even control the people throwing a party in the pool area at midnight.
They also claim they have wifi but that’s just a lie because once your connected it doesn’t work. There pool area was gross and over chlorinated. On top of all of it the guest are all extremely rude and there was a hair in my yogurt at the poorly put together breakfast.

Roach Motel!
We had 4 roaches in our room, used soap in the shower, a 5:40am fire alarm! And no working telephone! My elderly mom got so upset by the rude awakening she left her Kindle in the room and when she missed it she called and the rude owner just kept saying we no find ~ didn’t even ask what room it was left in ~ we called the main number and they started a file on this hotel!

This was a last minute booking and got it through hotwire. It’s basically a motel. Not what I would book had I had time to prepare in advance. There are cigarette bruns on the floor and stains here and there. However it’s AC and I’ve stayed in a lot worse when it was a last minute event –hence the additional star.

We booked this hotel after a completely hellish experience at the super 8. It was nearly midnight when we checked in and were happy to find we were able to get a room at a good rate. The room was clean enough, the staff friendly enough. The only downfall was the pillows were too puffy, but could be worse. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Especially those going to Ac on a budget.

My husband and I had a wedding to go to in LBI. We booked a room about a week prior, and everything else in the area was either booked or a minimum 2 night stay. We paid almost $ 300 for our room, well… this was not worth nearly that much. The blankets on the bed were stained and had cigarette burns in them. The carpet had cigarette burns all over the place. If we had another choice I never would have slept there, it was disgusting. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Well I’m about to go on a rant so you can either read this or move onto something else, we booked this room on one of the websites on line which they were given fair reviews, but I’m here to say otherwise. First off when I went to check in the guy was asking my wife if she was married and mentioned something about the jacuzzi tub in the room (which my wife felt very uncomfortable with) then he wanted to charge us five dollars a day extra for a king size bed which I thought was unusual, when we got in the room it seemed ok at first so we unloaded the car and were in the process of settling in when we started to notice that there were holes in the sheets and stains on the bed and this very loud humming noise coming out from the bathroom (which I found out was the boiler) my wife was on the phone talking to the company online to complain about the room when all of a sudden the room phone rang and it was the front desk asking me if I was going to checkout and I said no why are you saying that and he said that we told the online company that our room was dirty about two minutes later there was a loud knock on the door and the manager — owner was at the door yelling at me telling me I had to check out and that it was his right as an owner to do so, I thought that he was going to hit me so I packed up my things and left… When I got to my next destination my wife was looking at the bank account and mentioned that the owner of the Best Western had taken out ten dollars for the king size bed which we did not use so I called him up to ask him if he would refund me my ten dollars and he told me no so we exchanged words and he then said that he would charge my account a hundred dollars I said for what and he said because he could then he accused me of smoking in the room which would total two hundred and fifty dollars at which time I said that now you are making things up because I don’t smoke, at that very moment my wife noticed that he charged my account fifty dollars so I had to call the bank and report him and put a stop payment on my account… So my advice is DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AT ALL THE OWNER IS A REAL A/​HOLE

Cool place to crash for the night no worries holiday inn express right next door did not let me check in because I am not 21 Best Western did not care they just let me in plus it was way cheaper and checked out late and guy did not even care lol I would go back.
