Absecon Taxi Service

My friends and I always use this when we go into AC, and we’ve never had a bad experience. It’s always reasonable and they’re always on time.
We decided to use it again last weekend. The driver took us to our destination in AC and told us that if we needed a ride home, she would take a $ 20 deposit and we would be guaranteed a ride home. I’m not sure why, but we agreed and went about our night. Long story short, our friend offered to drive us home so we did not use the taxi service going home. We thought our $ 20 deposit was never to be seen again, but a few days later there was a knock on the door and they had returned our $ 20. I feel that many companies, especially in the cab industry would take your money and run. So impressed!

The guys are always on time and very friendly. I always catch a ride with absecon taxi when I’m in south jersey. Highly recommended!

I was charged $ 10 for a one mile taxi ride within Absecon. Earlier in the day I had been in Boston and was charged the same amount for a two mile trip trip through the winding streets and numerous stoplights there. That week I also took about a three mile taxi ride in Portland, Maine for about the same amount.
Also, with Absecon Taxi Service, there was no meter in the (unmarked) cab. I should have taken my clue just from that.

Look elsewhere! This company does not accept credit cards and did not even provide me a receipt for a $ 100 fare. After the fact I doubled checked the mileage and estimated that the drivers «detour» cost me an extra $ 30!
