Mia Regazza has become our go to place to eat for special family dinners and for no reason at all. This is a family run restaurant which provides special attention to every dish as if you were being served in their home. Since our family has some food allergies, the chef has never complained about making accommodations for us. The Lobster Regazza is to die for. I’ve had the steak, the chicken, the shrimp, the scallops. Its all good. Never a bad meal and the drinks are divine. You have to go here!!! The only negative is that its always crowded when you go but, that means everyone else loves this place as much as my family.

Just came from this restaurant and the food and service was horrible. The waitress was no where to be found. I understand it was busy but she could have checked up on us. We got the lobster Mac and cheese for an appetizer and it was like krafts Mac and cheese with a few pieces of lobster spread on top. Most horrible I’ve ever seen and it cost 20 $. We all ordered the seafood linguini made with spicy fra Diavolo and it was bland. My boyfriend and my daughters scallops were mushy. I could’ve made better seafood pasta at home. I will never come here again.

It pains me to write this but honestly, this place has gone down hill. I’ve been getting food from Mia for a long time. My last three experiences however, have been awful. Last weekend I ordered take out and became fed up. I ordered the eggplant parm with angel hair pasta. The pasta had so much water left on it, my eggplant looked like it needed a life vest. Seriously, drain the pasta. it’s gross. The eggplant was almost two inches thick and not cooked all the way through. Needless to say that I attempted to call and was kept on hold and then hung up. I’m all done with this place. The food is mediocre now and way over priced.

I love this place. I have eaten in there about five times. I have also gotten take-out from there about a dozen times. The food is always amazing and very fresh! The staff is friendly and go out of their way to make you happy and serve you a great meal. The cocktails are yummy and nothing beats their Italian deserts.

I would not recommend this restaurant. This place was probably the loudest restaurant i have ever been in. Like i couldnt enjoy myself loud. The waitress was very nice. She did forget to bring my husband’s second drink though… the food was not good. Very bland. The chicken parm was thick, not pounded like one should. The pasta was cool and the sauce was blah and not enough. I couldn’t even finish it just wasn’t worth the calories lol. My husband felt the same. My daughter who loves a good burger didn’t like hers. We love to go out to eat and aren’t picky diners. Maybe this was just an off night. I won’t go back tho to find out. To many other places i love.

Lemon and garlic angel hair with shrimp and lobster. I got it to go. Turns out all they wanted to put in was the shrimp. This isn’t the first time I’ve been hosed by this joint but it certainly is the last as I’ll never go back. By the way, the ONLY reason I ordered the take out was because my mom had a $ 40 gifty. I was never initially impressed with this place anyway.

This places food reminds me of canned food or frozen food. Not at all worth the money paid and will not be back here ever again. Not sure if people have ever been to an excellent Italian Resturant like in the north end.

Very good. Has lunch there. Lobster rolls are big and reasonably priced. Lunch menu is big and prices are good. Seafood casserole was awesome! Very attentive service.

I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service. The lobster ragazza is amazing. My husband loves the tortellini carbonara. The veal Marsala is the best I’ve ever had. Usually the specials are so good I never even open the regular menu. One of my favorites. For those who used to liked deniros in cohasset this is the same menu same food. Owner used to work there.

Just ordered chicken, broccoli and penne and specifically asked for the penne al dente(which I should not have to do in an Italian restaurant). It came out way over cooked. I could smooth it to a paste with a fork. I sent it back and it came back way under cooked. I hope this doesn’t sound like I’m being picky. I’m not. This is dried pasta… If you follow the directions on the box, the pasta is cooked right. It just shows that this place is NOT Italian. The cooks simply don’t understand what properly cooked pasta is. On top of this, the sauce was very mediocre and then the bill showed up with the dish still on the bill. Not impressed. This was our 4th or 5th trip there and will be our last. Simply not a good Italian restaurant.

I would not recommend going there. There service was bad, the behavior of the manager was offensive and unprofessional. If you have gluten allergies do not go even if they say they have a gluten free menu. I invited my sister in laws out for dinner in honor of there birthdays. One has gluten allergies and I specifically chose Mia Regazza because they claim they offer gluten free items… When she ordered she specifically told the waitress she was allergic to gluten. She then ordered off the gluten free menu a salad and asked for steak tips to be put on it. Plain, no seasoning etc. The waitress assured her it would be fine. The rest of us ordered and again we told the waitress before she left, please don’t forget her salad and steak tips need to be gluten free. She kind of rolled her eyes and said she got it. Later, our meals came and five minutes into eating my sister in law called the waitress over and apologetically asked her for sure if the steak tips were made without anything on them? As she could taste some kind of marinade. She insisted it was but would check with the kitchen. She then stopped eating. The waitress came back to say they put regular marinated steak tips on her gluten free salad! And yes the marinade has gluten in it. Went on to say that because she ordered«off the menu» it wouldn’t be gluten free!!! We reminded her that she ASKED when she ordered the gluten free salad if she could have plain steak tips on top without marinade and you said yes. She would not have ordered that if they couldn’t do it. She insisted she told the kitchen what the request was but they did not follow. Sorry very as a matter of fact. I was disgusted at the ignorance. We asked to speak to the manager. Nearly 10 minutes passed by and the manager came over a blonde woman in her late fifties. She was totally unprofessional. She said«sorry this happened but if you ordered off the gluten free menu this wouldn’t have happened». We told her, we told her she did and asked if they can do plain tips on top and WASTOLDYES. She was rather rude and refused to comprehend the woman specifically asked if it could be done and was told yes. She then said loudly well we will just have to call 911 if you are not feeling well! My sister in law was horrified. This was not a 911 situation but we do want to leave as soon as we can get the bill as she was not feeling well and wants to get home to take some medication. She drank a ton of water and yes we had to WAIT for the bill. The manager later yelled at us for speaking up! I asked for the owners name(John & Kristin Martin) Then we had to ask to have the meal(which she barely touched) taken off the bill, this was yet another hassle. It should have no questions asked. I would not recommend going there. There service was bad, the behavior of the manager was offensive and unprofessional. If you have gluten allergies do not go even if they say they have a gluten free menu. If John or Kristin Martin are reading this, you need to fire your manager, she is a liability and get your waitstaff and kitchen staff clear on this subject if you are going to say you offer gluten free items and not serve gluten free food. If what she asked for could not have been done she should not have been promised it would. There are plenty of good options for Italian food on the south shore. Word of mouth is going to kill your business.

This place has amazing Clam Chowder. Definitely up there as one of my favorites. Its a very busy place. Very crowded, very loud, even on a Tuesday. Definitely an older crowd as well. The food was great. I only had 2 minor gripes. The service was slow and the ‘regulars’ at the bar. I went to the bar to order a drink for my wife. A ‘regular’ got defensive he was going to lose his friends seat and got a little rude. I got the drink and moved on. Our waitress was so busy she sent another waitress to finally take our order. She seemed quite distracted. Either way we got our food, it was good, it was just hard to figure out who was our actual server.

Serious problem two years ago, but we were convinced to try it one more time. My Seafood Primavera was very good with a nice amount of lobster. The 20 ounce steak special had to be sent back, it was ordered medium and came well done. Cooked perfectly the second time, but 20 ounces… I don’t think so, but it was adequate and quite tasty. The other two orders were for eggplant parm and chicken parm. Both of those people were happy with their meals. I may be wrong, but it seems like their pricing(which was once slightly high) is now very reasonable. Their bread and oil dip was just so-so. Entrees on Monday come with a complimentary glass of house wine.

Going on two years since we first came to Mia’s. We’ve tried many Italian restaurants on the South Shore, Cape as well as the North End. This place is first rate, great ingredients, always cooked exact, never a bad meal. The portions are big, the value is spot on. Danny and Nick are the best bartenders and servers. Suggest the stuffed mushrooms, chicken piccata, and the salmon. Can’t get a better host than John, he always remembers my name! Suggest you check it out!

If I could, I would give our experience at Mia Regazza 2.5 stars. We came in as a party of six on a Saturday night. The place was packed and we had to park on a side street. I figured Mia Regazza was doing something right to be packing such a crowd. They also had an outside patio that looked really nice and inviting as well. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that warm outside. We had a reservation and we were quickly seated at a table in the back corner. The first thing you’re going to notice that the bar area is small; there is virtually no place to stand and wait for your table. Secondly, the restaurant dining area is loud. I mean, obnoxiously loud. The ceilings are high and there is nothing installed to help absorb/defuse the sound. Our server was extremely nice and rather quick to get our drink orders out to us. We ordered a round of drinks and she brought us bread to munch on. We ordered the special appetizer of the night, the filet mignon bruschetta. When it took about 20 minutes to come out, that’s when we realized that it may take awhile for the rest of our meals to arrive. The bruschetta was rather disappointing — the meat was small, the bruschetta toast was small, and there was a ton of onion rings on top. Maybe it could have been advertised differently? Anyway, I had the chicken parm with penne pasta. When our meals finally arrived way later, it left a lot to be desired. The pasta was lukewarm at best and really chewy. Was it overcooked or al dente? I couldn’t really tell but I had ran a 5K earlier that day so I was hangry at that point. That’s right, hangry. The chicken was actually really good but salty. Was it the best? Definitely not. Was it the worst? Not necessarily. The service was good and we understood that there was nothing our server could do against the kitchen. She really tried and did a good job at keeping us informed. Not sure if I will be back. The service is the only thing that saved this review from being 2 stars.

We visited Mia regazza on a Saturday night around 7. The wait for the two of us was around 30 minutes. There is a small bar near the entrance where people sat and waited for tables. I did not venture to the back outside but I was told there was a larger outside bar as well. For an appetizer we ordered the bruschetta. What threw was off was there was only two small pieces of bread under a huge amount of red onions, tomatoes and mozzarella. For the price of the appetizer we were surprised to only have two small pieces of bread. I ordered the haddock with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. I loved the seasonings on the veggies as well as the fact that they were crunchy. When veggies are cooked too much it takes away from the flavor. The potatoes were red blissed and creamy. The haddock had an light coating of breadcrumbs. It tasted great. My boyfriend ordered pasta bolognese. He was disappointed because the sauce was very watery and had large pieces of tomato in it. It was not what he expected from bolognese sauce. We did not order alcohol but it looked like it had a nice list of mixed drinks, beers, and wines. Overall it was an average dinner out.
