Hansen Landscape & Tree

I had many estimates done for tree service. We had 5 large trees that needed to be taken down. We live on a very small side street and knew that we had to choose the right company for the job. Some companies told us they couldn’t do it, one said that they would have to take down the wires and one wanted to charge us double for the inconvenience of the street we live on. Our neighbors at the end of our street used Hansen Tree a few weeks prior. I saw the start and the clean up. They seemed like a good company from what I saw. I called them and within a day the estimate was done and at a fair price. I sent in my deposit and called a week later to schedule service. The ladies in the office (Terry & Norma) are great. They explained that they have jobs scheduled ahead of mine and that they would call back to let me know an ETA. I told them that we had some work that was going to be taking place at our house and that the trees needed to be out before ¹⁰⁄₂₂. Both of the ladies worked with me to make this happen. They came yesterday morning at 7am and didn’t finish until 8pm. Those guys worked their tails off. Brian and his amazing crew did a fantastic job. I leave before the sun is up and they finished in the dark, so I haven’t seen the actual clean up. I will add a star when I get home if it’s superb. Good Job, Hansen Tree!

I’ve never done this before but I’m so angry I can’t stop myself. I want to preface this with the statement that I am not complaining about the work this company does I am speaking about their customer service and their appointment making policies. On May 30, 2014 I negotiated with Hansen tree service of Abington, MA to do some work on the 2 large trees in my yard. I gave them a deposit and agreed to pay $ 950 for the work to be done. I contacted them last week to ask when they may be coming. I was told that they take 3 weeks before they come to do the work and when it’s my time I will be called the night before to let me know I’m on the schedule for the next day. They called today at 4:30. Your tree work is on for tomorrow they said. I said great! AM? No PM? But I have an appointment tomorrow PM. Oh okay we’ll call you another time when we’re in your area. Wait, I can’t request Monday or Tuesday? No, we’ll get back to you. You’ve called me late in the day and I can’t change my plans. Sorry, we’ll get back to you. So far I have wasted 3 ½ weeks waiting. I’ve put off using my deck because the tree needed trimming. I’ve now called another company to schedule an appointment for an estimate to do my tree work. Just sayin’ …n

Hansen Tree service came out and gave me a great estimate very quickly. That was over 5 weeks ago. I was told the tree would be done no later than two weeks after Dig Safe came out and marked the area in my yard around the tree. Well its been over 3 weeks and the tree is still not down. Had I known this process would be so long and drawn out I would never have called them. Even the lovely ladies who answer the phones are not helpful. They only tell you what they don’t know, which is, that your tree is not on the list to come down. I will give them another few days but I would never recommend them to anyone.

We hired Hansen Landscape & Tree Service to remove two large trees and prune another tree. I was so impressed at how quickly and efficiently the crew worked together. There was a crew on one tree using a bucket truck, and the other very large tree had a man climbing and cutting branches. I was amazed at how everyone took their positions, with skill and expertise the trees came down perfectly without any damage to homes or fences. They cleaned up the entire area spanning over three homes and even cleaned the sidewalk and the street! This company is top notch from start to finish.
