I have used these movers several times and have had a wonderful, stress free, reliable experience each time. Handled my things with care, on time, polite, ect! Even packed some lamps for me that I didn’t properly pack myself.

Ok, so I was a bit worried about using this company after seeing the Unilocal scores but noticed it was only 2 reviews. Normally I’d just move on and find someone else but they moved my former neighbor and still friend and they looked like they we’re doing an excellent job loading the truck. All in the same shirts and moving quickly. I asked Kelly (my friend/​neighbor) how it was going and she was happy. I called a week or so later to see how the new home was and again asked about the movers (as I was planning one soon as well so why not right?) Anyway, she was pleased and gave me her salesperson’s card. So I thought ok, we’ll give them a chance to be one of my 3 estimates. They were not the cheapest (Which I don’t mind if I get what I pay for) but not the highest either. All prices were fairly similar so I went with my instincts along with Kelly’s recommendation and chose this company. They were great! Only issue was they dinged a wall on my staircase but came back a few days later to fix that. Other than that I couldn’t have been more pleased. Arrived on time, met the estimate, very friendly and professional. I’d use them again (though hope to never have to move any time soon) and would ask for the same crew if possible.

We’ve used these folks multiple times in the past 11 years, spending well over $ 10K. Unfortunately, their sales, customer service, packing and moving have gotten progressively worse.
We were given a quote at the very high end of our range, and were advised that the best thing we could do was eliminate as much as we could. We parted with belongings we would have preferred to keep in an attempt to reduce our moving costs. Post-​move, we were told that the estimate was «binding,» and the final billing would not be reduced because we had a smaller load.
Making matters worse, many of the items we did move were damaged because they were packed carelessly … a stained-​glass lampshade at the bottom of a dish pack, items pressing against the screen of our television, lamps broken, art with damaged frames and glass …
Finally … their claims department is unresponsive and, in the past, has made the process complicated and time-​consuming.
2014÷11÷30:
We had a brief back and fourth with these folks. Nothing resolved … «thanks for the feedback» was all we got. I will continue to discourage everyone I know (or anyone who will listen) from using this company.
2015÷01÷23:
More runaround, passing responsibility from Allied to Von Paris to Hampden Moving & Storage. They delay, attempt to confuse, deny. This is a pretty sleazy way to treat a customer.

Awful company! They make promises to unpack but their definition of unpack is to dump the boxes on the floor. They also have very rude staff. The foreman yelled at us (and I was pregnant with twins on bed rest at the time) and kept saying «this isn’t my job.» Not to mention they damaged two expensive items and said they did not. Oh, and they took 3 days to move our items but the manager of the company asked us «why did it take two days? This was a one day job.» You are the expert, you tell me. I would NEVER use this company. Horrible service, empty promises, and they are very difficult to reach when you need them.
