Every single time we go through the drive thru they mess up our order… Every time. They forget to give you the condiments you ask for or mess up the order entirely.

Oh yes, I’m a big fan. I love their chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. The food is fast. The atmosphere is casual. Why would you ever go to stupid Taco Bell when you have Rosa’s Café? :)

Went last sunday, service was fine, food tasted ok. But for the money was very very disappointed. Had 2.25 small pieces of meat on a beef fajita taco. For $ 3 you would think it would be better than that

Bluck. Had«Mexican Dinner,» cheese enchilada & ground beef taco. No seasoning at all on taco. Husband had cheese enchiladas, said they were the worst he’s ever had. Beans were soupy & gross. Hand made tortillas were merely OK. I recommend skipping Rosa’s.

Great atmosphere. Very friendly people. Really good food. This place is, yes, Rosa’s Café. The customer service there is truly fantastic(from my observation). Management makes it a priority to make the customers feel welcome. They go around the restaurant asking if there is anything they can do to make you feel welcome. Fajitas and tortillas are made fresh daily and the aroma near the restaurant makes you want to come in to try the food. «Taco Tuesday» is very popular for the Rosa’s regulars and locals. Tacos are really good for an «upscale fast food» eatery with your choice of beef, chicken or you can try both on your plate. The garnish station is always kept up with fresh cilantro, lemons/limes, pico de gallo and three types of fresh salsa. I would always recommend getting the sopapillas if you have time for dessert. Margaritas are delicious and all the beer they serve is very cold if you are a fan of adult beverages. Overall Rosa’s is a great value with very generous portions and really good people working there. They are more than happy to get your order right if you are not completely satisfied. Keep up the good work Rosa’s Café!

I love the crispy chicken tacos. Today they were STUFFED with moist warm chicken and just right toppings of lettuce, cheese, and ripe diced tomatoes. With added fresh cilantro and xtra hot hot sauce, this momma is happy happy. 100° outside, but a large fresh iced tea is so refreshing. Fast, fresh, generous portions keep me coming back.

If you are on a road trip and want to feed the family fast, go to Rosa’s, order the beef fajita family meal, and, bam! You are all fed and happy. We all loved the food, especially the tortillas. However, this Rosa’s gets four stars because the bathrooms were pretty nasty. However, we returned here on the way back and had another great meal.

This is our first time trying Rosa’s, and the first thing we see is a beetle in our tortilla! We are trying to get a hold of someone at the restaurant, but nobody seems to ever answer. I can’t even rate how the food taste since we lost our appetite after seeing the beetle all over the tortillas!

When in Texas do as Texans do? I guess… If i were to choose a Mexican«semi«fast food chain, i would definitely prefer BAJAFRESH. However, since said restaurants are unavailable in the abilene area, this place takes on the hard duty of satisfying my mexican crave… or, should i just admit this is tex-mex? Yes… there is quite the difference. Sauces up the wazoo, spices are kept locked for those who enjoy the cuisine but aren’t too keen on the spiciness associated with. They do produce their own tortilla(kids are attracted to the process like moths to a flame). The plates are fairly big for the usual European stomach but can barely get the average Texan happy… which means… SOPAPILLAS!!! that alone has gotten the final review from a mere 3 stars to a 4!!! Like many other places, you can opt to eat in or carry out… but, why skip on a typical mexican flavored restaurant? The salsa station is well stocked for Everyone’s taste.

Rosa’s is a great family friendly restaurant. Seating gets sparse on Taco Tuesdays but the bus boys/girls clean off tables pretty fast. They have corn tortillas which is great since I am gluten-free(by choice not allergic). I order some sort of beef fajita every time… the bowl, the plate, the salad, the burrito. They always turn out great and their guacamole seems fresh. I love their queso supreme it’s definitely a step up from their plain nacho cheese. Their salsa is JUST hot enough for me which is hard to find the right spice level in chain restaurants. The sides like the beans and rice are alright but nothing special. My SO really enjoys the chicken enchiladas. On the drive-through side, they have forgotten a few items occasionally. Not enough damage to dissuade us from returning because of they have such fast service and good food. Rosa’s has been a go to restaurant for me and my SO and will continue to be.

The food is ok. The tortillas are great. The queso sucks! Taste like nacho cheese bleh. Beans don’t really taste like anything. It’s pretty clean and the staff is friendly. Basically it’s on Taco Bell level.

Rosa’s is a great alternative to Taco Bell or other Mexican fast food. I am giving 4 stars because overall i have enjoyed my visits there over the years, but it isn’t without flaw. First of all, the positives. The tortillas are great. They are always nice and fresh. I enjoy that they have different spice levels for their salsa, especially since I love all things spicy but my husband does not. I usually order the beef soft tacos, fajitas carbon, or beef enchiladas. You can’t beat their cheap taco plates on Tuesdays! It is only about $ 12 for two Taco plates and two drinks for Taco Tuesday. While the positives outweigh the negatives, there are a few things I don’t like. I do not like their chicken tacos or enchiladas. I find the chicken to be flavorless and quite watery. The beans are very inconsistent. There have been a few times that they tastes like someone just poured salt into them. Also, it can get very crowded. I’ve found that when it is packed, the tacos tend to be just sloppily thrown together and a bit of a mess. I understand they are trying to get a lot of food out quickly, but I don’t enjoy when my tacos are falling apart when I get them.

Got the taco platter here. I could get tastier tacos at Taco Bell… The rice was fine but the refried beans had no flavor at all. For my tacos I got both meat and chicken, the chicken taco was ok bit the beef taco again had no flavor and I had the drench it in salsa for it to taste good… just go to Taco Bell, it’s tastier and cheaper

Basically this is an improved Taco Cabana. Priced similarly, menu similar. Food is ok, flour tortillas are very good. Both times I have been the place is clean, cutely decorated, and people are nice. Not really going to satisfy a real Mexican food craving, unless Taco Bell or Cabana meet your standards, but okay for a quick reasonably priced meal. Personally, twice was enough, it’s not really special enough to spend money on. There are a lot of good little places in Abilene I think I would rather give money to.

I ordered the Mexican combo plate. I felt the set up of the restaurant was a little strange and I didn’t like that all utensils and cups were plastic. My food was dry, bland, and not very hot at all. I was very unimpressed. HOWEVER, the homemade flour tortillas were AMAZING! I give the tortillas 5stars and the other food a 2.

Dude the food at this place rocks! I may have been driving for 10 hrs and starving, heading east from San Diego but this place is just as tasty as old town SD and WAY cheaper! The fresh tortillas totally make this place, and I also enjoyed the salsa bar. A 3 taco dinner plate with rice and beans and a burrito dinner plater with drinks for $ 13. Boom. I will be back the next time I come through TX! I only didn’t rate it 5 stars because cleanliness was lacking, but food and quickness was awesome!

My wife loves this place, I’m so-so. The food is typical mexican fast food so its good, BUT, no chips and salsa with your meal? you have to buy them ala carte? Come on!

Complete surprise on our recent Abilene trip. I walked in and saw that you ordered at the counter. Don’t let that dissuade you. I immediately thought it was just a typical Taco Cabana sort of place. I was VERY wrong. The quality of the food is better than 90% of the sit down and order Mexican joints I’ve been to over the past few years. The flavor was unique as well. This is a pleasant local establishment where it’s fairly obvious the employees care about their guests experience and the presentation of their product. Don’t miss the salsa bar. Salsa aficionados will be impressed. The salsa bar was well stocked with variety and levels of heat. For once the hot salsa was actually hot!
