OH. MY GOSH. There’s a reason is named after the Mexican word for Elegant. You better have a tuxedo rental on speed dial if you want to go here. Classy af and you’ll want to come back. This black might put Granny’s out of business because it’s the new Madison Avenue in Abilene. It’s fitting that the carpet is red because you’ll feel like a celebrity getting wined and dined.
This place is perfect if you are in trouble with your lady because you used her purse to catch a coon and the dang thing chewed through it and peed on her in the middle of the night or something like that. Final advise: makebsurebthat tux has an elastic waistband because you’re gonna GET STUFFED.

Remingtons is the inhouse restaurant of MCM Elegante Suites. In the Abilene area the restaurant is often known as Elegantes. Do not be misled by the name, however. There is nothing elegant about this restaurant no matter whether you call it Remingtons or Elegantes.
My wife and I recently had Sunday brunch there and found the experience disappointing. First of all, we were seated at a dirty table. The table service or lack of it continued to be a problem thoughout the meal as the service staff consistently failed to clear the table between courses and never refreshed our beverages.
The quality of the food was mediocre. The roast beef was seriously overdone; the fried chicken tasted burned; the green beans appeared to be right out of a can; the dinner rolls were not fresh; and, lastly, the deserts seemed to be mostly variations of frozen pies that can be bought at the local supermarket. In summary, I will avoid Remingtons (Elegantes) in the future for there are numerous better dining alternatives in the Abilene area.

We only come here for lunch buffets and they are fantastic. Salad bar is decent. I would choose this over Golden Corral any day. They also have pre planned menus that way you know what they’ve having on the buffet daily. Service is always excellent.

I must qualify the. 4 stars
I got the filet steak special. The waitress said the cook was young so do not expect too much. I like my steak cooked Pittsburg style. So I was not expecting much.
When they brought my steak it was perfectly cooked!!! Extremely flavorful and very tender.
The salad and all the trimmings were 2 star at best.
But this was the very best filet I have ever had.
Can they do it again? I do not know. But that 1 time was GREAT!

Restaurant review (not bar): here for Valentine’s day dinner and the service is so bad that people are walking out the door and we have had to get up and complain to the manager. The waitresses are sullen and slow. I have watched our appetizer sit on a rack by the wall for 15 minutes while the waitresses ignore it. I ordered wine 20 minutes ago and have not received anything. I’ve been here for the lunch buffet often and enjoyed it but that is self serve. This evening guarantees I’ll never come back. Stay away unless it’s lunch buffet or the bar!

The two man guitar band had some pretty good vocal skills. They played everything from R&B to country, and made it there own. Gotta love creativity :)) Oh yeah. The eggplant, zucchini, and spinach lasagna was also very delicious!!!

Better than average hotel restaurant. Daily lunch buffet is quite good or menu for lunch and dinner. Place is pretty nice and you can sit out in the atrium. I recommend them.

Love it! Live music. Interesting people… except for the guy that waited outside the womens bathroom for my friend to come out. He said he was going to his room but when she didn’t return from the bathroom we went to check on her… he had been waiting. Creepy.
Moving on, good drinks. The live music is usually good but that mexican band that plays the music from the 80s and wears afro wigs, that needs to change. I enjoy listening to Happy Fat. He’s good. Only con is that it gets too crowded sometimes. But its worth going any night of the week.
