McAlister’s what is going on with you guys? Who ever owns you needs to be a customer ONETIME! My gosh it’s the worst service and bad attitudes. My last four yes 4 experiences at McAlister’s have been huge let downs. First time NOICE… Who the hell drinks HOTTEA? There’s a convenience store across the street that sells ice! Second experience NODRESSING for you Savanna Salad but you didn’t tell us that until we asked for our dressing! Who the hell eats DRYSALADS? Third experience cashier and other employee arguing as to whos going to wipe down tables, when we go to sit down tables dirty when I ask if they could clear one for us the young man USEDHISHANDTOWIPECRUMBSOFFONTOTHEFLOORANDTHENLOOKSATMEANDSAYS«THERE U GO!»…fourth ordered half sandwich with ciabatta bread and cup of potato soup«TOGOSOWEDON’T HAVETOSITAT A SOILEDTABLE»…get to office NOFREAKINGSOUP! Craving something different, I decided to give this place another try.(Last visit was a sodium-bomb.) I ordered the Pecanberry salad. It is fresh greens, quartered strawberries, plump, firm, blueberries, candied pecans, topped with thin sliced grilled chicken, served with two portions of fat-free raspberry dressing. I really enjoyed it and will get it again before it’s discontinued for the season. I almost ate it all and yet wasn’t stuffed.

While driving to Colorado we stopped to visit with a college roomie. She had suggested a steak house but it was crowded and the wait was too long. We needed to grab a quick bite, have a short visit and get back on the road. McAlister’s Deli was a surprising delight. I had one of the salads, Savannah Chopped Salad, my guy got the Horseradish Roast Beef & Cheddar. Both were great & tasty. We both ordered the flavored teas, Mango and Apricot. Not my fave, neither had much flavor. The service was pleasant. Good food, quick service and reasonable priced. Will give them a try again!

I don’t know what to tell you guys… I want to dig this place a lot more than I actually do. I mean it’s immaculate inside, even for a busy joint. The staff is crazy friendly, maybe even to an unusual extent. And the service is fast and orders are generally pretty accurate. These are accomplishments, and while I’m certainly impressed by them, I just don’t enjoy the food when it comes down to it. I’ve tried several different sandwiches, soups, baked potatoes. Even nachos. It all just seems kinda plain to me. Nothing is awful, but nothing is exceptional. I don’t crave it ever, but it’s the sort of place you just end up at sometimes with friends for lunch. I don’t know, a lot of people seem to like it. Maybe I’m just being a jerk. I hope not. I’d like to think I’ve given this place a fair shake. Maybe it’s just not for me. But the good part is they have a huge menu, so if you’re reading this, you might want to disregard my rambling and try it anyway. I will say the iced tea is as excellent as everyone says it is, and completely worth your time.

Service was incredibly slow and the kitchen lost half the restaurants orders. After waiting 40 minutes for a sandwich we were approached and asked for our receipt so they could«straighten things out»

That chicken salad sandwich on that fancy French roll thing is on point! Besides… My lady actually likes this place because it’s all healthy and trendy and junk! You mean, I can get fancy sandwiches AND make the lady happy?! I’m all for that.

The food is good and the staff was friendly. I’ve only dined here one time, but I plan on returning on my future trips to the area.

Food is good most of the time but service is crawling these days. Been here for 40 minutes and not even busy. Food is not being made yet. Very unhappy.

What ever you do don’t order online! McAllisters employees messed my up and gave me some one else’s order! Be sure to check your order! The manager came to fix the mistake and didn’t even apologize! It was a very rude experience! I imagine he thinks very lowly of his customers, I will not be returning to a place that doesn’t care about the customer. McAllisters is run by high school kids who have no idea what they are doing and also the manager obviously has poor leadership skills, is not paying attention to his employees actions and is very rude! I wish I could give a negative star. Thumbs down here!

If I were a meat eater I would rank this higher. The nice thing about this place is we can eat here comfortably as an extended family. My parents and my niece and nephew all have their favorites and I’m exploring the veggie options which aren’t bad. I’ve done the nachos and a baked potato and while it’s nothing to get excited about, my food came out hot and tasty and as expected. Service was friendly and the restaurant was clean with plenty of seating. Considering the lack of good options in Abilene, I’d recommend this place.

I love it. Very fresh. Savannah salad is great and the club is also good. For a big meal get the king club double meat compared to the club. The tea is the best !!!

The grilled chicken caesar wrap sucked! I just paid $ 10 for some mac and cheese and a bunch of salad. Didn’t see any grilled chicken.

So we tried McAlisters tonite. I am so unimpressed. Had the club sandwich. Taste was ok but the sandwich was totally dinky compared to my usual local restaurant. I’ll give them another try but it will have to be a whole lot better.

It wasn’t all that great. Sorry McAlister’s fans this was my first visit ever and I’m not impressed. I can make a better sandwich at home. I had the Sweet Chipotle Chicken sandwich and it was a disappointment. $ 13 for what we got left me feeling jipped. It’s nice to have something different in Abilene but the food was microwaved, processed junk. My son got the mac and cheese. It was a tiny bowl of mac and cheese on a big plate with a bag of Teddy Grahams and applesauce. Junk!

First day open and they were definitely ready with staff. Maybe a little too ready! Tons of employees asking in between bites if everything was good but had to track someone down for a refill once the crowds thinned. Overall the food was good, could have been served hotter. But a very needed addition to the Abilene market.
