One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating

My ac went out over the memrial day weekend, I called and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. In the meantime, I had a friend who does hvac, come and look at the system. He said my capacitor was bad but he didn’t have one so I just let the techs come out from One hour to fix it. When they arrived, I relayed the information about what was needed and their quote for the capacitor was $ 353,…plus the $ 129 service call. Needless to say, I passed on the repair and had it fixed the next day by my friend. The actual cost of the part was $ 8. I gave them 2 stars because the Techs were decent and I know they didn’t set the price for the parts.

They were knowledgeable, explained every repair that needed to be done and the cost associated with it. No surprises with the bill and in the end did not try to pressure us into buying any service packages. The repair cost was in line with their competitor’s estimates, but their customer service cannot be matched. Exceeded our expectations.

Having always lived in apartments, this has been my first time owning a house — and all the things that come with it. I know nothing about heating/​AC other than when I turn it on, it works or it doesn’t.
We’ve had a couple issues and we’ve called 1-​Hour and have always had a very pleasant experience. All the techs we’ve had are wonderful and knowledgable — it’s never taken more than 10 minutes to figure out the issue.
They are also very honest — we’ve had them out here twice where they didn’t even charge us a service fee because they (honestly) told us they simply forgot to flip a simple switch — knowing that we knew nothing about it, they could have easily taken advantage of us and gotten us for $ 100s…but they didn’t.
Just signed up for the service agreement — $ 150/​year gets a cleaning and discounted services/​parts — seems more than worthwhile to me! Highly recommend!
