Can’t believe I’m giving a dmv 5 stars. They were that good. Caught them at 4:45 on a Friday right before closing. Cheerful to the end and hussled to get my services complete so I wouldn’t have to come back Monday. Pleasantly surprised and not dreading a return.

West End, NC
Since NC uses private contractors to staff its license renewal offices, there is a great variation in service quality from county to county. It is worth making a special trip to Aberdeen to renew your tags. Short wait, friendly staff. Cash or check only, but there is an ATM in the parking lot.

Santa Clarita, CA
Easy to reach by phone and the ladies hear know their stuff, something you don’t see often at Californian DMVs (which impresses me GREATLY). What impressed me more was the quick turn around time, im in, I pay, I’m out the door with my registration and plates in less then 10 mins. Which to me is unheard of.
*One of the older ladies is a bit angry, don’t worry that’s normal
*They only take cash or check
*Little tricky to find at first glance but its between Badcock (ha!) Furniture and Big Lots, adjoined to a tax center.
