Stopped by today, have always heard good things about the restaurant but never been there. Went inside and found out it was buffet only. Should have known when they were charging $ 11.50 a person that something was up. Could not believe how bad the food was, was to embarrassed to say the food was horrible, the waitress was really nice. We just paid and left, will not be going back.

Wow. Driving through and saw this listing. The BEST fried chicken I have ever had. Really a find. The sides were excellent too — fried okra, mac and cheese, and cooked cabbage. Meld of Dutch and traditional southern cooking. Bought a cookbook at the checkout. And the town is awesome — worth a detour. Be sure to see the Opera House inside!

We decided to take a day trip to historic Abbeville. We had heard great things from several people about Yodor’s, so it was on our list of «to do». At first sight of the restaurant we were a bit skeptical but after we tasted the food we understood just why people drive out of their way just to eat at Yodor’s Kitchen. The chicken was excellent and the vegetables all tasted really fresh. It should be on your ‘to do’ list too if you’re ever in the area.

i routinely go out of my way to eat at yoder’s. absolutely excellent pennsylvania dutch/​southern food. the meats change daily, but they always have fried chicken and fried catfish. broccoli/​cheese rice is awesome, as are the pies, which is the first thing you see when you step into line. very reasonably priced. and you better come hungry, because they give you a ton of food.
