Very good place. Nice food, good service, very good and tasty tapas. Don’t feel sacred by the tourism area. Really a good choice amongst generic restaurants.

This place is pretty typical for Tarragona — small inside bar with several outdoor tables. It’s on a plaza so the people watching is probably better than places just on a sidewalk.
I stopped by fairly early in the morning, seeking only coffee. I was attending a conference at the nearby Universitat Rovira i Virgili. To be honest, I’m not even sure they were open for business — if not, the person working took some pity on my limited Spanish and served me a coffee. It was your typical European coffee — sort of halfway between an American coffee and espresso. It was good, but nothing special.

The proprietor was engrossed in the football match on TV so I felt bad interrupting and ordering my 1.50 Euro draft beer. .. OK, not that bad.
