Amnesia Ibiza

I have very mixed reviews on Amnesia. I have been to Ibiza 14 times and its the Djs that pull me to this venue. From Axwell, Eric Prdyz to Paul Van Dyk, all out of this world.
On a negative note, it gets way to jammed that you can hardly move. I paid extra last year to get vip and that was more comfortable. I am back again this year and we are all seriously thinking of giving it a miss. Water is ridiculous money also.

This is by far the worst club I’ve ever been to.
1. There was supposed to be a foam party, there wasn’t.
2. Let me tell you about the music. THE WORST DJS EVER!!! We were in one room and the Dj there played the same song over and over, no variation whatsoever. We moved to another room, different DJ playing the same 1 song with 2 beats over and over.
3. The staff hit my friend in the head and didn’t say anything.
4. It is so overly packed you can’t even move.
5. Everyone there is rude! They just push you and grab you.
6. The outside area is atrocious. People are sitting on the parking lot ground.
7. Drinks are at least $ 23
8. It’s basically in some dirty alleyway type area
9. You pay $ 70 to get into this place and all you get is the type of crap I mentioned above.
This club doesn’t even deserve 1 star its that horrible. Trust me when I say Amnesia should have paid me to go there. I wish I could get a refund.
Whoever says that this is a great club is either lying or has never been to a good club before.
My suggestion: go to Pacha nightclub as you will have way more fun and enjoy many different things they have to offer there. The $ 60 to get in at pacha is worth it.

For Ibiza, this might have to be my favorite full time night club.
Young people everywhere having a great time and the VIP area is upstairs so the entire ground floor is devoted to everyone partying… Hard. Since the space here is so big lines to get in are virtually non existent even at 3 am.
Drinks are a bit steep but there’s everywhere in Ibiza. Scoped out the VIP section and you aren’t missing much for this nightclub up there anyways. Save the big bucks for Space or another night club where the general admission area isn’t as fantastic as Amnesia.

Im Amnesia habe ich kürzlich an einem Donnerstagmorgen eine Party der Reihe «Hyte» besucht, nachdem ich am Wochenende zuvor im Space war. Dadurch lässt es sich nicht ganz vermeiden, dass ich die Clubs etwas miteinander vergleiche.
Fakten:
— Die Party begann um MItternacht und ging bis 7.30 Uhr.
— Es gibt 2 große Floors.
— Der Club liegt abgelegen beim Ort Sant Rafel zwischen Eivissa und Sant Antoni. Erreichbar ist er mit der Buslinie 3 bzw. einer entsprechenden Nachtbuslinie (Discobus), einem Taxi oder, für Leute, die es wirklich wollen, mit eigenem fahrbaren Untersatz.
— Mit im Vorfeld besorgten Tickets (über Internet oder Ticketshop) bekommt man schnell Einlass.
Meine Meinung zur Party bzw. zum Club:
Gut hat mir die Musik von Chris Liebing gefallen, der in besagter Nacht von 4 Uhr bis zum bitteren Ende aufgelegt hatte. Er war wirklich der Höhepunkt der Nacht.
Die DJs vor ihm fand ich im Vergleich dazu eher mittelmäßig. Außerdem sind auch in diesem Club die Eintritts– und Getränkepreise auf extrem hohen Niveau. So kostet das Ticket für die Party «Hyte» im Vorverkauf immerhin 40 Euro und eine Cuba Libre 18 Euro. Im Vergleich zum Space gibt es auch keine aufregende Dekoration oder Live-​Performances auf der Tanzfläche. Dafür hatte ich das Gefühl, etwas mehr Platz zum Tanzen zu haben als im Space.
Fazit:
Unter Abwägung aller Fakten und Erlebnisse möchte ich dem Club 3 von 5 Sternen geben, da er für mich weder perfekt noch katastrophal ist.

My friends thought this place was the most amazing club we have ever been too, but I wasn’t feeling it. there are a ton of positives. Good music, good light show, beautiful people, etc. But there are an equal amount of negatives. 15 – 20 Euro drinks, beyond crowded Friday night, 70 Euro entrance fee, really really young girls. I’m sure there were a bunch of ¹⁶⁄₁₇ year olds hanging out in there. All and all, dont give it any thought about the details, don’t try to compare it to other places youve been, and you’ll have a good time.

From what I remember I liked it, however let me tell you this place is aptly named!
The lighting and sound system are dialed in for sure. I couldn’t believe the size of the main chamber… ridiculous. It has to be one of the largest clubs I’ve seen and I would consider myself a fairly avid soldier of the underground. Drinks are a bit pricey… welcome to Ibiza. There was a little confusion about the guest list when we arrived but we stuck to our guns and finally got it all sorted out. Overall the staff was definitely friendly and a lot of fun. Gooooooooo!

Crazy names like marco carola Joseph capriati made this place home for us over last summer, can’t wait to do it all again in 2015!

Unfortunately, I don’t really have a point of reference to which I can compare this place, as I’ve never been a club kid and never gone to a place like this before. That said, I friggin loved it; my friend – who is/​was more of a club girl – really wanted to go and party in Ibiza while we were in Spain (while I, quite frankly, had no interest in it at all) but I think I may have had more fun than she did!
It opens around midnight and we got there maybe fifteen after, so it wasn’t very busy when we got there, but by 12:45/1:00 the place was jammin, and it’s HUGE. I won’t lie to any-​o-​yous, I have virtually no sense of direction, so I really had no idea where I was at any point of the night, and I was not drunk at any point in time. I didn’t find that daunting, however, as there were always bartenders and dance floors somewhere near. There were at least a couple of different rooms with different djs spinning what I’m sure they thought was different music, but it’s all the same to me.
We had bought tickets for 70 euros each, which included something about VIP, but the VIP/​balcony section seemed very unimpressive to me, and wasn’t anywhere I cared to be; I was much happier bustin moves down in the thick of it. I was also very pleasantly surprised by how friendly and fun the people were, not at all the pretentious and snobby a-​holes that I had assumed they would be: even the bouncers and bartenders were friendlier than I had anticipated.
All in all we both had a great time, and I would highly recommend making your way out to the island for an unforgettable night. Just a few things of interest I could mention: it’s expensive, not just the tickets, but the drinks (almost 20 euros a drink, a little less than half of that for a small bottle of water), there is a dress code for getting into the VIP (no shorts or t-​shirts… though they weren’t really enforcing it), and plenty of people to buy drugs from if that’s your thing (I can’t say anything about their price or quality as I did not partake).
Oh! And one last thing: always be careful, and this is true of going out to any bar/​club anywhere. Whether you’re a guy or girl, you never know when someone might try something, so always pay attention and make sure you’re with people as cautious, dependable, and trustworthy as you.

Pour s’y rendre, emprunter le night-​club bus qui va de boîte en boîte et vous ramèné toute la nuit (et pt matin!) au centre d’Ibiza. 2 salles: la terrasse (intérieure) et la salle principale. L’entrée à ces soirées peut sembler hors de prix (80 € prix plein –55 € en préventes) mais il s’agit de né pas le percevoir comme «juste une soirée en boîte» mais plutôt comme plusieurs spectacles /​concerts. Choisissez donc vos sorties selon le Dj que vous souhaitez voir. Pour ma part, j’ai eu l’occasion d’y voir Deadmaus et Paul van Dyck et c’était juste extra!

We were here twice during our holiday, and we loved it. The sound system was great, the bartenders were quick, and no queues to the toilets!
I only have one complaint, and that was trying to get out the VIP area and out of the club. We literally had to fight our way out. There was no security to keep areas clear. Drinks are standard Ibiza night club prices.
The club is also a bit out of the way if you are in Playa del Bossa or San Antonio.

Came to Amnesia in July. The first thing I noticed was that it was way the hell outta the way. We stayed in Playa d’en Bossa and Amnesia was in the middle of nowhere… literally.
The club doesn’t open until about midnight so we got there around 1 or so. The lines to get in are somewhat organized & reminded me of going to the palladium in Hollywood.
There’s a gift shop in the parking lot that stays open all night. Kinda weird for a club but it’s Ibiza, I get it.
Here’s the worst part about any club in Ibiza… no age limit/​18+ and they’re RARELY checking ID’s. Once you get over the fact that you’re partying with a bunch of kids, you’ll have a good time. The music was great of course because Knife Party, Zedd & Steve Aoki were there.
One great thing about going to this club was no dress code! You could literally come in shorts & chucks and it was coo. Walking in with 1 flip flip on? No problem! They DGAF basically. Definitely different than LA where you need to be in a prom dress to go out to a club.
Cost was expensive like most clubs in Ibiza… I think it was 80 € or so. We didn’t plan ahead where we wanted to go which made getting in free a lot harder.
Drinks were beyond expensive. 16 € for a vodka whatever, which equates to about $ 20 – 21 a drink in USD.
Amnesia is Cancun meets Vegas. You have the mega clubs & décor of Cancun but the DJ’s of Vegas.
I think before Vegas became the new hub of EDM, Ibiza was better. Everyone I met in Ibiza was talking about Vegas and these people were from Lebanon, Australia, etc.
I would check out some of the other clubs before deciding to come back here or not. If you’re looking for the nicest club in Ibiza (and most Vegas like) Ushuaïa is where you need to be.

The DJs were great! We went for the foam party on Wednesday night (foam doesn’t happen till 6AM). Dress is club casual: cute shirt and shorts with sandals or open toe wedges or cute tight cotton dress etc. drinks are about 15 euros. We went during mid September and were worries that there wouldn’t be a full crowd but the club was perfectly packed. (Went to another club the night before and it was nearly empty, we almost considered leaving if we didn’t pay 25 euros). Amnesia is what we expected Ibiza clubs to be like.

Second best club in Ibiza, after Pacha, but still worthy of five stars. Two huge rooms often featuring world-​class DJs, fantastic lighting and effects, and great sound system make this one of the best clubs in the world.

I loved, loved loved Amnesia! Had 2 – 3 great nights here. Most memorable night was dubstep/​reggae night. Knife Party, Sub Focus and even Eric Prydz played. This place was ALWAYS packed. Almost to the point where you couldn’t really move. I am giving it high stars because the ambiance of the club is very memorable. And the people and workers are just as great. This is definitely a must go to club. Especially for «Together» and «Cream» closing nights.

Travelled to Ibiza about 5 years ago. I swore I came here and had a great time. I really did! I just can’t remember the details!

Holy crap this venue is massive. The two main stages are connected via a single corridor, making getting around nearly impossible. The place one big, hot, bumpin’, fire hazard. Sound and lighting is earth-​shatteringly amazing. Above & Beyond and Sander Van Doorn never sounded this good.
Paying for VIP doesn’t entitle one to VIP privileges — what vendors and the online sales system won’t tell you is that you show up in long pants (or trousers, for our British friends) upon entry. No dress code for GA passes. A Taxi ride, one way, can cost up to 25 Euros.
Coaches to the club run nightly at 20 minute intervals from 1230 to 0300 from San Antoni’s central bus stop (at the Egg roundabout) during the summer season. They can come in official club livery or can be straight up chartered public buses. Be prepared to pay 5 Euros a head.
Red Bull vodka (singles) go for 21 Euros. Talk about milking it. And if you think ordering soft drinks is a safe alternative you’d be sorely mistaken — a small bottle of Coke runs for 9 Euros, whereas a beer merely 6.

Music is amazing!!! I went on a Tuesday after the pukka up boat party and Thursday (Cream night). Both night were awesome!
High energy music all night long, there’s no break at all!!! Go go dancers are very pretty & sexy, I’m a girl and i cant take my eyes off either! haha!

Right, so, when in Rome…
To be honest I’m not a big ‘clubber’ at the best of times, even with a group of friends I struggle to get into dance music but there have been occasions with a good DJ that I have ‘felt the beat’ as it were.
Anyway, why 1 star?
Well, first of all, they let WAY too many people in here. The dance floor was so crowded I could not see a single person physically able to dance on there. People were just shuffling on the spot. The only people who were moving about were those who felt my pocket and tried to sneak my wallet out of it in the most unsubtle of ways.
Secondly, they make no effort whatsoever to enforce the smoking ban. People were smoking at the bar, breathing smoke into bar tenders faces whilst standing under a no smoking sign. The passive smoke gets especially bad when a group of 6 next to you light up on the aforementioned packed dancefloor.
Also, music (nothing special) was WAY TOO F**KING LOUD. It was changing the rhythm of my heart FFS.
Finally, 11 euros for a beer! Which they pour into plastic glasses from the bottles (fair enough), but they do so from such a height that your beer has a 10 cm head on it.
No, I didn’t enjoy the music, but that’s just grumpy old me however it is not the reason I 1 star this place. As it is consistently voted ‘Best club in the world’ I was expecting something pretty cool, instead we got out of there after an hour — it’s not like we could dance or afford to drink.

We particular went to the foam party. It was so awesome. Never had a foam party like this before.
The music was really good. They mixed all current songs during the foam party.
The only thing is they start the foam party at 6 am and it runs for an hour. I wish they would do it a little early and start at 5 am.

Not as good as PACHA. This place was too packed and the crowd was way immature compared to PACHA. Once your in Ibiza and you go to PACHA first, you’re pretty much spoiled for the rest.

Amnesia. The name says it all. Luckily i remember everything from that epic night.
Seriously best club i have ever been to in my life! I don’t know what it was. But i had the time of my life here. They have huge cannons that shoot cold air at the dance floor. There’s 2 rooms, there the main room with a stage for performers. The night i went, they had MIKA perform. It would have been great if i knew who he was! The music the played was awesome! House, techno, progressive house, electro… EPIC!!! Great sound system,
Drinks were pretty expensive so stick to beers. I had Estrellas but i swtiched to Budweisers cuz it left a nasty after taste. The Estrellas were 9Euros. Theres a 30Euro minumum if you want to use your card. The dancers are gorgeous! The VIP sections are upstairs and the dancers are posted next to the VIP tables.
If you go on Wednesday or Sunday dress accordingly. They have foam parties here.
Overall tip: When you go to Ibiza and you plan to go clubbing. Make sure you see who performing and at which club. The beach clubs are awesome as well.

Amnesia is simply the best dance club I’ve ever been to and probably the best in the world (one of the best).
Great energy, great structure, great air conditioning, great DJs, great parties.
Flawless!
