Restaurante La Fábrica

Restaurante La Fabrica was an excellent restaurant in Donostia/​San Sebastian. I love the Basque country and I want to go to San Sebastian and Bilbao again. I went here a couple of years ago and you cannot beat the fixed price menu!!!
In fact, I went here twice…
I had a whole carafe of great wine from the La Rioja to myself!!!

Great spot to come and get away from the pinxtos. Amazing deal for a «price fixed» 3 course dinner or lunch, and when the say it comes with wine/​cider they mean a carafe or huge bottle. Food was well prepared and there are a couple of options for each serving. We tasted the risotto, pork and foie gras ravioli during our dinner there and all tasted amazing. The dessert options were delicious too. You need to book a reservation in advance if you want to guarantee a spot in the restaurant.

Feel like we robbed the place. How is this restaurant so inexpensive? Based upon the food and service you’d expect to pay well more than 100 euros but somehow it’s 25 euros pp and that includes everything! Even a bottle of wine?! And the wine was GREAT. it’s difficult of course to have bad wine in this country. I think we’re still in shock that we paid 55 euros (including tax) for 2 for that meal. We made a last minute reservation and got a table some time after 10, typical Spanish dinner time. Loved our waiter, he was willing to make suggestions when asked and was overall just a great experience. When you’re ready to stop eating pintxos for a bit and wand to sit and have a great meal in the old city (same street as A Fuego Negro) go here.

Very good and reasonably priced. Got the more expensive tasting menu. Everything good except for the steak which was pretty bland. Overall, however would go back.

Nice restaurant, with pleasant dishes, efficient staff and in a very nice contemporary setting displaying stoned walls and copper panels. We enjoyed the daily dinner menu at c. 27.5 € per person incl. VAT. It is better to make a reservation as we had to wait until c. 23:00 to get a table for 2 without a prior booking on a Monday night.

We stopped in for lunch and had the Meal of the Day — 3 courses and several choices in each course and this included a bottle of wine. Highly recommended, each dish was prepared wonderfully and presented with smooth service and attention to detail. Between the wife and I, we had 6 different items to taste: Goat Cheese Salad, Lightly fried Shrimp, Monk Fish and Shrimp, Pork Cheeks, a Cheese Plate and a Chocolate dessert that was wonderful.

Este restaurante es de los mismos propietarios de La Muralla y lo recomiendo encarecidamente. Está decorado como si fuera una antigua fábrica de cerveza.
Los camareros son muy atentos y la cocina es creativa pero sin pasarse.
Tienen varios menús de degustación a precio cerrado. El menú degustación que tomamos nosotros nos costó 36 euros por cabeza y mereció totalmente la pena. Incluía 6 platos. No me acuerdo de todos, pero entre ellos había un timbal de langostinos, salmón ahumado y aguacate con vinagreta de hierbas frescas; un ravioli relleno de setas y hongos con crema de foie que estab riquísimo; una vieira con cuscús y crema de langostino; lomo de bacalao con txangurro y crema de patata ahumada; y magret de pato asado con purés variados. El postre era a base de varios chocolates. Todo riquísimo y no nos quedamos con nada de de hambre porque aunque las porciones son pequeñas, de degustación, son muchos platos.

This place is awesome! There is a reason it’s the #4 restaurant in SS on a competitor’s website (pretty sure anything in the Top 5 will blow you away). Go in and order the meal of the day. You get your choice of a starter, a main course, a dessert and a decanter of wine. All for 24e is a pretty good deal!
