Pretty pathetic. 20 mins away from everything, airport, Las Ramblas, etc… Noisy tiny rooms with no sound proofing. The bar, pool n gym are no longer in action. This hotel may have seen better days. At least the staff were pleasant n tried to help as much as they could. Free breakfast downstairs is average — you get what u pay for. Free wifi.

A great hotel if you are traveling for business and you have no time for fun or don’t want to go into the city centre of Barcelona(a sin). I’d rather not elaborate as to how I ended up here as I love fun, and sinning. Anyhoo I mention this because it is about a 20 minute drive/40−50 metro commute to the heart of La Rambla. It’s also about a 20 minute drive to the airport and the same to the beach. Okay so it’s about 20 minutes to a lot of places but it is a pain if you don’t have a car, so think wisely. Back to the hotel. The rooms were incredible. The sheets were crisp and soft(I am very picky, with sheets especially). There was a lot of extra space for luggage for two people. The bathroom was equally as perfect; the bathtub was divine and I spent a lot of time in there. The shower had the right pressure. The view from the bedroom left a lot to be desired, but then again this hotel is located in a fairly residential part of Barcelona. Adult entertainment was available free of charge on the tele, ummm, I’m mentioning this in case you have kids or something and they accidentally flip through the channels and see. yep. There were computers right beside the lobby to do as you wish. An expansive bar wraps around, and is just past the lobby. The breakfast was buffet style, and it had everything one could think of and more! The negatives: * The pool is outdoors; this is great in the hot Spanish summertime sun, but this means you can’t go in the winter because it’s closed. I was sad that I couldn’t take a dip, but I should have known. * The«gym» well I should say random, claustrophobic, mirrored room had the usual machines and some free weights, but it was in a odd location in the hotel: the basement. * Apparently at night the area around the hotel is sketchballs. We came back late(after room service had stopped) and were ravenous. I was going to get some pizza down the street but the employee actually told me not to go out alone and get it. :/ * They fucked up the wake-up call(yes, I use that service… just in case) at 4am, and we almost missed our flight. * It seems like these hotels on the outskirts of town are filled with hoards of traveling footballers(or packs of people), so be prepared that it might be a more than noisy night. Incidentally they were all on my floor, and walking around shirtless – my companion didn’t like this too much. ;) All-in-all a lovely hotel which is not close to anything. :D
