San Bartolomé de Tirajana is a pretty quiet little town surrounded by some beautiful views and fairly nice hiking opportunities. It seems to be quite popular also among the cyclists which you have a good chance of running into on this island. Many of the town’s restaurants will be found next to 4 Esquinas. This place is frequented both by the many tourists as well as the locals, it seems. It looks like the kind of place where you will find the older gents of the town stop by for a cup of coffee or a beer to discuss any pressing topical issues. I had the lunch menu here. Started with tortilla española, which was easily the best I have had in a while. For main course, I had ropa vieja. Another great choice. I don’t know how the kitchen is open, but I assume you can get dinner as well. Recommended.
