Tito Juan

This place opened earlier this year, which makes now about four rotisserie chicken establishments in Rota. Tito (uncle) Juan’s is easy to find, right across from Miguel’s Rent-​a-​Car at the fork where uptown San Fernando and Avda de Principes de España begins. He offers chicken of course, along with dinner plates, fried foods, spanish tortillas, fried tapas, home-​style foods, meats, paellas, etc., just ask him. The prices are reasonable and average of the shops offering chicken: pollo asado normal 8 €, garlic-​flavored (ajillo) 9 €, lemon flavored (al limon) 9 €, and a *especial Tito Juan (haven’t tried it yet) at 9,50 €. Tortillas range from 3,50 to 5 € and their patatas fritas are 2,50 € with half the portion being half that price. Their dinner plates include Filete Pollo Empanado + patatas (breaded chicken fillet + fried potatoes) 3,50 € (I’ll have to try that one day soon); nuggets de pollo (chicken nuggets w/​fries) 3 €, etc. I have attached a pix of their vast menu so you can read (spanish) the many items offered include drinks, plus every Wednesday he offers a special of chicken + patatas for only 8 € (except when a holiday falls on a Wednesday), also offering paella each and every Sunday. I see on his menu that he has spanish meatballs (albondigas); i love spanish meatballs and think spanish meatballs are the best tasting meatballs i’ve ever tasted and enjoyed! The one exception I noticed between Tito Juan’s chicken that I tasted and others was that there was just a slight hint of salt on the chicken I got (half chicken priced at 5 €). Some of the other places had so much salt that even I choked while eating. Tito Juan’s was very tasty, the usual fall-​off-​the-​bone chicken, and he put a lot of juice on mine, so much that after finishing the chicken, I was able to use the juice that remained to boil macroni the next day. The chicken-​meat was sooo tender and tasty plus this shop is just 3mins walking slow from my apartment!
