We had a great time at this cozy little restaurant. We hate great fried eggplant and delicious squid. Just great good and great service.

Absolutely fantastic! A true gem. In the heart of Las Palmas, just off the main shopping drag, this restaurant is packed with trendy natives and is the perfect place to while away an afternoon people-watching and gorging. The occasional street performer may even serenade your meal. The food is sensational. We had prawns wrapped in mint, mini hamburgers with yogurt and mint, fried cheese with pepper marmalade, cold tomato soup, and the Tia Maria cake. All were outstanding, the tastes memorable. We had our 10 month old with us too. No problem, there were plenty of other parents with kids, and it didn’t disturb the beer-and-tapas feel of the place.

My report is to be about the restaurant located in Triana(there are two, one located near the seaport of Las Palmas and the other one in Triana). It is recommended to reserve a table if you intend to have lunch or dinner, as the restaurant is very popular and crowded. You can either take a set at small tables with bar chairs located near the entrance, or at one of the larger tables. The menu offers a variety of local Canary dishes, such as for example queso herreno a la plancha(grilled cheese from the island of El Hierro, served with mojo sauce), as well as well known dishes like Cesars salad. Even with the restaurant being very crowded, the drinks and meals orded are getting to the tables very quickly. In the meantime, the visitor may enjoy the atmosphere of the place. The walls, painted in a light beige, are decorated with drawings of the silhouette of Las Palmas and even of the metro trains that existed in Las Palmas around 1915. On a big board near the entrance, the variety of montaditos is displayed. Montaditos are small baguette-like breads with various toppings like Spanish tortilla, ham, or salad. Among my favourites are the Cesars salad, which is freshly prepared with deliciously grilled chicken and the«Queso herreno a la plancha». As a dessert, you may choose from cakes as well as local favourites. The discrete nod to nouvelle cusine style is revealed in the presentation of some particular dishes. The«cheese cake», for example, is not a cake, but a light dessert crème served in a small glass, deliciously decorated. This is not only food, but after having lunch or dinner at this place, it is really a «food experience» that simply creates happiness. I strongly recommend everyone, whether you are living in Las Palmas or on holiday there, to check out this place.
