Or Llotja(as written in Catalan). On my little day trip to Palamos, my friend insisted that I must hang around to check out the fish market. It doesn’t open until after the day’s catch is hauled in — so at around 4:30, the boats start unloading their hauls. One of the biggest food scandals in the United States lately has been about fish fraud: cheaper fish being sold as their more expensive cousins. But this isn’t an issue(fissue?) here. You are getting fresh fish, and it’s all whole, so you can see what kind of fish it is(as opposed to the filets or steaks that are sold in American super markets). I’m not the biggest seafood fan, but I was definitely impressed.
