CORRECTADDRESSFROMTHEWEBSITE Avda. Del Mar Urb. San Pedro del Mar 1E 29670 San Pedro de Alcántara Teléfono:(+34) 952786860 Another incredible find. Lord but they really do eat late in Spain. With the sun up so late and the set do late you don’t realize the time. We didn’t get our act together until 9:45, walking in to DaBrunos about 10:00 to find the sidewalk area crowded with diners. Billed as Italian, they had a full compliment of items from fish to steaks to familiar Italian selections. When they heard our accents the immediately switched to English for us. When I asked for a translation of a menu item I was directed, with a smile, to the English menu. It was then I realized the menu was in. Spanish, French, English, German and Russian. These guys have catering to travelers down pat. We didn’t realize Da Bruno’s was part of a local chain of five or six, all within about 30 miles. Had we known, we may not have gone. We would have missed out! Inside area not crowded, but inside, so we opted for the enclosed outer patio. Real table cloths, cloth napkins, appropriately set tables and a team of solicitous wait staff made for a pleasant evening… Jorge had been clamoring for Gazpacho, which was on the menu. He loved it. He also had Bolognaise and claimed it was the best he’d. ever had. I had Fettaccini with mushrooms which was wonderful. Mary had Veal Picatta and ML had a pasta in creamy cheese sauce. All so rich and good we were stuffed. However, the desert menu was so good I had to have something. Crepes with a boiled cream sauce covered in chocolate with a cup of Café American with LECHEFRIO to cool it down topped off the night. Street Parking right at the door made it easy to roll out to the rental car. Almost forgot. Small advertising card at hotel offered free bottle of wine. Usually you get some mongrel substance when you use something like this but it was a good, house wine which we would have ordered again if we had needed it. And again, we ordered Gin and tonics before dinner. I have to say, I’ve never received a glass of ice and had a waiter pour from a bottle of gin until I said stop before. All in all, our best meal yet in Spain.
