This place is the Denny’s of Spain but much worse. They’re on almost every street corner and like us only sucker tourist ever go in there. The people working there are rude, the food is bland and expensive, and service is mad slow. I ordered a jamon and cheese sandwich and what I got would be rejected for prison food. The people working their obviously hate their jobs and hate tourist even more. Seriously don’t eat here especially with all the amazing food options in Madrid throughout town.

The cappuccinos, and lattes are very good. The food is so so. The staffs don’t look terribly happy for some reason(we ate here 3 times, mostly because they open earlier than most places in Madrid). Would stick to a non-chain place if you have a choice.

I only had coffee here but they had one of my favorite brands here, Jamaican Blue Mountain. The ambiance is great, the menu was in both English and Spanish and you can get free WiFi. What more do you need?!

I don’t have much to say about Café y Te, except that it’s kinda weird. The walls are plastered with British and American quotes and references, the music is all three year-old pop songs from the Top 40, and the waiters are constantly badgering the waitresses behind the bar for more coffee and orange juice. The whole place seems like it’s one dropped cup away from total anarchy. The food was average; I had an espresso and chocolate croissant, both of which were fine, which really means«instantly forgettable». If you’re trying to avoid Starbucks(damn it’s expensive in Spain) and hit up a more local chain, I’d go to Rodilla instead.
