This review is purely based on my manicure experience over here. Short version: I’m medium happy with it. The girl /​woman does know what she’s doing, however the result wasn’t really good and I would defenitely recommend to get your manicure somewhere else.
Long version, a.k.a. Story telling
I LOVE getting manicures; it’s my favourite, special «me-​time» to clear my head, get creative, and just relax for a bit. And what better than to do this, while being in a foreign country? It’s not that I’ll be making conversation or engage in small talk as I don’t speak the language whatsoever. Brilliant! Found this place nearby and no photos or reviews on Unilocal yet. No guts, no glory! Off to try the manicure at Alonzo’s!
I was put in a hairdresser’s chair and the girl pulled up a stool with a little table. She is knowledgable as in: cleaning your nails & clipping your cuticles. Filing my nails was quite roughly done and I still had split nails so I had to ask her to redo it. I was surely not impressed with how she polished my nails and the end result; I got quite some nail polish on my fingers & the sides of my nails. She did removed most of it with a q-​tip at the end, but there’s still nail polish in places it shouldn’t be and its just not neatly done. The plus and therefore, I can’t be mad or too disappointed about this: the price was only € 12.-. And, to be fair, this is not a nail salon. This is far and foremost a hairdresser that provide ‘extra’ beauty services such as manicure, pedicure, make-​up, hair removal and waxing, and massages. So it’s not the professional nail salon I’d hoped for. Will go to a different one later as my nail polish has chipped already. Jammer!
