We went to this most awesome Sidrería with some people we met that were from a neighboring region of Spain, and who knew how to pour sidra! It was probably the most Spanish thing we did… drinking standing at the bar, eating tapas, and GASP, I decided that when in Rome I should do as the Romans, and so I ate some DELICIOUS mussels and something pâté-like called Cabracho, which google says is scorpion fish. What the heck, it was delicious. This place was pretty packed, and had a nice comfortable vibe, right off of the Plaza Mayor. I saw some folks that had descended on Gijon for the same festival that we had, and a lot of Spanish folk that were either from there, or visiting from somewhere nearby. All in all it was a great experience that I highly recommend repeating.
