This place is hard to describe. It is one of those places you have to experience in order to truly understand, but having said that, it is wonderful! Buried beneath a volcanic mountainside, along a long winding road of banana plantations, you come to the road’s end where there is open-air seating attached to a shack. This ‘shack’ has one of the most impressive views you will ever see of the lovely La Zamora Beach, which is a remote beach on La Palm in the Canary Islands. The pictures don’t really do this place justice, since it doesn’t allow you to hear the impressive clashes of the waves against the volcanic rock outcroppings, and see the amazing contrast of the aqua blue waters against the black sands. At Kiosca La Zamora you can sit with your € 2 glass of wine or € 1beer and take in the site. The food is good considering they have to drive in products on a regular basis. We came relatively early in the morning and saw them unloading food and drinks from a small SUV. My friend had the breakfast and said it was delicious. It took a while for the food, but there was only one person manning it all, besides who needs to hurry when you are in such a spectacular place! After splashing around in the turbulent waters for a few hours and drying off in the sun on the beach, we hiked back up to the top and sat at this hut again for a few glasses of wine and water, taking in the breathtaking views. The prices are extremely inexpensive, so I tipped liberally because I want this place to stick around. The owners only speak Spanish, but I easily got by with my horrendous gringo Spanish. If you are not adventurous(crazy may be a better word) enough to go weather the violent, beautiful waters of La Zamora Beach, it is definitely worth the trek to come sit at the top at Kiosca La Zamora to take in the truly awesome scenery.

Netter Imbiss oberhalb des gleichnamigen Strandes mit typisch kanarischer Küche. Man sitzt mit toller Aussicht auf die felsige Steinküste.
