At the end of the meal I was shocked to be presented with a bill (cuenta) nearly 150% of the advertised Menu del Dia (22 € rather than 15 € advertised), although I had ordered the Menu del Dia. Normally, the wine is presented with the Menu del Dia as comes with the menu. Here a greater quantity apparently was placed on the table without explanation to entice the diner to drink more. Then a nearly 50% supplement was added (7 €) when the wine presented was consumed.
I had intended to give a decent review for the food. I took my time, sending messages, reviewing my email, and reviewing the CAMINO map to Los Arcos and beyond. I ordered El Menu del Dia and only the options offered and I consumed only what was then presented. Consequently, I expected a bill for the amount of the Menu del Dua (15 €) not 22 € because I drank the wine presented which the waitress (whom I confirmed was the owner) said was more than allowed for El a Menu del Dia!
