Camping Caravaning El Escorial

This is a very large campsite on the outskirts of Madrid (about 40 mins by bus to the centre)
The check in procedure is very high tec and security is very advanced so you certainly feel safe here. There are numerous aisles of pitches for caravans, and large fields for tents. There are plenty of facilities inclduing a pool, games room, kids club and sports courts. There is a restaurant /​bar area offering all kinds of drinks and snacks. The food is a self-​service type affair which involves making your choice at a machine and printing out a ticket, then paying at the cash desk.
The toilet blocks are large, modern and very clean. There are plenty of toilets and showers, hot showers are provided at no extra cost.
Reception staff are very helpful and can advise with any queries.
Quite expensive at 25 euro for 2 people and a tent, but a good base for Madrid.

Me atrevería a decir que es uno de los mejores camping de España. Es enooooooorme y con muchísimas instalaciones. Es una especie de ciudad en pequeñito con sus piscinas, pistas deportivas, supermercado, restaurante, cafetería, discoteca infantil y para los más mayores. La zona de acampada libre es grande y con muchas sombras. A pesar de disponer de tantos servicios el precio es moderado, en linea con muchos otros campings. Ideal para pasar unos días de descanso con la familia o amigos.
