I love this place! I didn’t go to the restaurant, only to the bar for a few wines and a tapa. The staff is very knowledgeable in wine and the local sherry, and the jamón iberico is the best I have had in Spain. Highly recommended!

We went there tonight base of good reviews on Unilocal.
It was a big disappointment .
We order the slow cooked pork shoulder.
It was blunt and flavorless .
If you like warm salad with over easy egg order their seasonal veggie salad .
It comes cooked and hot.
The tomato soup wasn’t my type of food at all.

Love this place so much. One of the best dinners I had in Andalusia. We had Eggplant (Berenjena), Jamon Croquette, Deep Fried Cod/​Bacalao and Oxtail Stew. Everything was very delicious. The service was flawless. Our server, Hugo, was very attentive and gave us great recommendations on food choices. The best part is, he introduced me to a dessert wine that I would never imagine to be fallen in love with. I don’t drink wine because I don’t like the taste, but this dessert wine does change my judgment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who visits Cordoba.

Salmorejo decente, berenjenas normalitas y mollejas saladas a más no poder. Decepcionado.

Simplemente buenísimo, especial mención al saltado de verduras con huevo y puré de patatas y la pierna de cochinillo. Muy amables en la atención (candela)

A mi mujer le encanto este sitio. Y por lo que veo no es la única ya que el local se llena enseguida. Dispone de comedor para comer a la carta y salitas para el tapeo. Muy atento, simpático y amable el servicio.
Recomendables el rabo de toro, salmorejo, bacalao frito, croquetas de jamón, las berenjenas a la miel y el pastel cordobés.
A la hora del postre te preguntan tu procedencia para servirlo con un plato donde escriben, con caramelo liquido, el nombre del restaurante y tu ciudad.
A repetir en futuras visitas.

Ok. So here is the deal. You have to get the suckling pig ribs. Amazing and the local specialty. I had a salad with local cheeses and quince dressing. I must say I out ordered my wife who ordered ribeye 600grams which was enough for three people. She started with the chilled Tomato soup. Dessert wasn’t that great. Pass on the chocolAte cake. The local Cordoba dessert was really good.

Food and business was great! Not too many amazing vegetarian options, which is why I give it a 3 star over a 4, but for people who eat fish and meat the menu has fantastic choices. My favorite part of my meal was the dessert, I ordered something very chocolatey and with ice cream and it was delicious. I recommend stopping by here if you’re visiting Cordoba or the Mezquita (since it’s very close to it).

Since we usually eat at 7 and were trying to wait to eat until 10 we were happy to find Pepe’s. On entering we were asked if we wanted Tapas or a main meal. We said tapas and were taken to a table in a small room. It was nice, but I cannot comment on the other parts of the restaurant. other reviews here are more helpful about that. The tapas menu seemed limited, but this was my first tapas restaurant, so maybe they all are. We had the bread dip called Salmoreja, eggplants with honey, croquettes and flamenquines. It was plenty of food and all good. I think my favorite was the eggplant.

We arrived with extremely high expectations because we had heard this was one of the best restaurants in cordoba. The place is very beautiful and appears more upscale then some of the other places– white tablecloths etc, but the «outdoor seating area» is a courtyard that is covered and still feels very much inside. Service was excellent and prompt and the bread basket was huge! But because we had such high expectations, we were a little disappointed by the food– yes it was good but it was not the best food in cordoba– especially not at that price. Their tapas menu was a little limited and the food was pretty run of the mill. We ordered the eggplant in sweet syrup/​honey sauce, salmoreja, and the artichokes with blood sausage (the best thing we tried!!) I would recommend it, but adjust your expectations– and get the artichokes!

Comida típica cordobesa con un toque de modernidad. Trato inmejorable. Imprescindible subir a la azotea.

Au détour d’une rue touristique, on n’imagine pas entrer dans un si bon établissement en passant devant la devanture.
Le service est au petits oignons de l’accueil, au dessert.
Parlons en d’ailleurs, du dessert: exquis, comme tout le reste de la cuisine, plutôt orientée locale, tout en restant fine et copieuse.
À noter une particularité intéressante et dont devrait s’inspirer tous les autres restaurants: il existe une carte pour les Tapas, et une carte pour les plats plus consistants, ce qui évite toute confusion.
Le prix est raisonnable pour la quantité et la qualité du service est vraiment à souligner!
Bref, la seule adresse cordobèse qui né vous prend pas pour un touriste, où du moins, qui honore votre visite, À conseiller chaudement!

In Cordoba for four nights and ate here twice. Outstanding food, ambience & service. We’ve been in Cordoba, Marbella, Ronda, & Malaga on this trip and sampled the aubergines (eggplant with honey) in all of these places. Café Pepe has the best! Everything we ate — four people so 8 different meals — was fantastic! When you make your reservation, request the rooftop terrace for the very best experience.

Oh!!! Food bliss! Try the artichokes with eggs, the apple salmorejo, and the cochinillo asado. They are worth the calories!

#Lunesdereseña Un grupo de granadinos y una sevillana hambrientos en la judería cordobesa tras una intensa mañana de trabajo. En esto que servidora tira de aplicación móvil de Unilocal para buscar el mejor sitio de la zona. Y me encuentro con Casa Pepe y sus estupendas reseñas. Así que tiramos para allá y me encuentro con algo que no me ha gustado mucho de Córdoba, que si vas de tapas te colocan en una parte de los establecimientos que es la barra y poco más. ¡No te puedes sentar! Yo tengo asumido que en Andalucía parece que a la gente le mola tapear de pie pero nunca lo entenderé ni me molará. Además no cabía ni un alfiler, por lo que preguntamos al camarero si en las mesas se podían pedir tapas. El camarero tuvo que preguntar pero como éramos un grupo y el hombre era majo nos guiñó un ojo y nos dijo que esperáramos a que hubiera una mesa libre. Pasó un ratito, la verdad, aunque acostumbrada a las colas de Los Coloniales en Sevilla se me hizo corto.
Una vez en la mesa me asustó el protocolo, típico de sitios caros para turistas con sus cubiertos protocolarios y demás parafernalia. Los granadinos estaban indignados con los precios que, aunque no eran baratos me parecieron asumibles por la excelente ubicación del sitio. Pero, claro, es que en Granada las tapas son gratis con la bebida así que a ellos ¡todo les parece caro! Otro día hablaremos de la injusticia de que la tapa gratis no llegue a Sevilla :(
Recomiendo especialmente los postres de nombre impronunciable y los flamenquines, caros como en toda Córdoba pero si los pides para compartir y al menos probarlo merece la pena. Sin duda la mejor opción para comer mirando a la mezquita.

Taberna a la que siempre me acerco a tomar algo en mis visitas a Córdoba. Me gusta mucho ponerme en la barra y pedir un poco de todo: salmorejo, berenjenas fritas con miel y una cosa similar al ajoblanco, pero que no es ajoblanco y está muuuy buena, pescado frito o algún guiso de carne :) Siempre intento acompañarlo de vino que tienen en un par de toneles a la vista y si no alguno que me recomiende el camarero; en esta última ocasión tocó vino blanco verdejo mezclado con uva pedro jiménez, qué espectáculo!
El servicio es rápido y la comida está muy bien hecha, salmorejo suave, berenjenas crujientes, si pides algún pescado se nota que es fresco, los postres todos caseros y magníficos… La pega que tiene es que normalmente está bastante lleno y tienes que armarte de paciencia hasta encontrar un sitio en la barra o una mesita en el comedor, sobre todo en fin de semana. Pese a ello creo que merece la pena la espera.

Inside there is a tiny bar, two small simple well-​heated rooms for seated tapas, and other elegant rooms for the full restaurant menu.
Waiters appropriately tease those who don’t try a little Spanish. Friendly and patient with me (flagrantly and apologetically butchering Spanish).
We tried the lechon — slow roast pork with softer-​than-​crackling that some don’t like but we did. Also, the bacalao (cod) here is quite good. Croquettes were yummy but we have nothing to compare then to having not previously had any in Spain. Pork with curry and mustard was outstanding.
All hot dishes were hot. Not lukewarm as in some other nearby bodegas/​restaurants. We ate early-​for-​Spain at 8:30 and the whole place was full by 9:30.
All this, four drinks, and some patatates bravas for under € 40. Yum!

Die Lage ist für Touris verführerisch und die Preise haben sich dem angepasst. Aber es stimmt auch alles andere: Qualität, Ambiente, Geschwindigkeit alles toll. Willkommen in Spanien!

q decir de este sitio, para mi uno de los mejores para tapear en cuanto calidad-​precio. Además esta dentro de un precioso patio cordobés en el que hace que la degustación de las tapas sea armoniosa y relajada

un gran bar para tomar cañas y vinitos con unas raciones muy buenas, bien situado y sencillo de encontrar, local amplio

Una gran taberna para los turistas, en ella podras degustar buen vino y comida tipica de la ciudad en un emplazamiento privilegiado
