My husband and I enjoyed some tapas and a couple of glasses of vino. The prawns were gritty but the rest of the food was delicious! Cool atmosphere.

Great mojitos at a great price!

Cute, romantic place with great tapas (I’d recommend the tuna tataki and the vegi roll). It was a bit crowded, so we sat at the bar, watching the barmaid making cocktail. Staff was really nice and gave good advice. Food was delicious and in large quantities, the wine was also great. Inside the atmosphere was classy and animated, a perfect place to have diner or a few drinks. I would recommend to arrive early to have a table.

The food and service here is amazing. We had gotten the red sangria, the ham/​arugala/​Brie/​balsamic glaze montadito, the grilled shrimp, chorizos, the mixed cheese /​meat platter, meatballs, and the vegetarian chili. This place gets busy so you might have to wait if you come during a busy time. We came around 8pm, and waited around 10 mins, but the wait was well worth it.

I came to Tosca with a friend while we were on vacation in Barcelona in September. It is a small and lively place with a great ambience in the Gothic Quarter. We really liked the quaint setup/​décor of the restaurant, and the music in the background was a nice touch.
We started off with a pitcher of red sangria. Though the sangria was not as fruity and flavorful as I generally prefer, it was strong enough to feel good after a half pitcher (split with my friend) and fairly cheap. For tapas, we ordered the baby squid, the chorizo, the rustic pizza, and the empanadas. Though the baby squid was fried perfectly, it was a little bland. The chorizo was also lacking a bit in spice, though it was hearty. The rustic pizza (containing sweet potatoes, chorizo, feta) was delicious– though a seemingly random grouping, the combination of flavors was amazing, and all the ingredients managed to stand out. My favorite, however, was the empanada dish (caramelized onion, goat cheese, mozzarella, walnuts). Caramelized onion and goat cheese are a naturally great, rich pairing; combined with the crunch of the walnuts, the empanadas were heavenly.
I would definitely come back here if I come back to Barcelona; it is a great tapas bar.

Given the good reviews here on Unilocal,we were a little disappointed. The tapas was indeed yummy and initially the service was friendly but once we ordered the food it felt like we were being rushed to churn over the table. Each plate of food was plonked down in quick succession with no introduction and empty plates quickly taken away. There was no friendly interaction to be had with staff after that initial order. Without an offer of dessert or coffee, we just paid the bill and left, buying ice cream on the way home instead.

Best Tapas in all of Barcelona. Great food, great drinks, and great service for a great price. Ate there three times within my five day stay in Barcelona.

Tapas were fantastic! We had the foie gras with brie, potatoes with curry onion mayo, veggie lasagna, Swedish meatballs, chef’s salad, and mojito. The menu has so many options that it was difficult to decide, but in the end we loved everything that we ordered! Every dish was perfect — all the dishes felt familiar and sounded average on the menu, but when they came out each one had a unique twist. The foie came with a raspberry jam, the meatballs came with an almond sauce (so good!) and the chef’s salad had a sweet balsamic dressing.
The wait staff was friendly albeit a tad slow. Nonetheless our server took her time walking us through the menu, and everyone tolerated our awful Spanish. They all spoke English thankfully which we appreciated.
All in all, we loved this restaurant. It was one of our favorite meals in Barcelona. This is a very touristy neighborhood and many other patrons at Tosca spoke English/​not Spanish, so we felt at home. They take credit card and tapas can be ordered up until 12am. We will be back!

Die Lage ist recht gut, gegenüber dem Operneingang, in der Altstadt und fussläufig zur Placa Catalunja. Für eine kleine Pause gerne, aber es gibt wesentlich bessere Tapa Restaurants. Viele Klassiker fehlen auf der Karte, man hat sich beim Angebot auf das fast ausschließlich touristische Publikum eingeschossen. Auch fehlt dem Raum das Ambiente eine Tapabar… Der Service ist bemüht und spricht alle Sprachen dieser Welt. Man könnte jetzt viele Kleinigkeiten auflisten: Die montaditos waren zu groß und das Brot nicht geröstet, die batatas bravas standen wohl schon ein wenig, … Ist aber unfair. Das kann auch in anderen Bars schnell passieren — wir sind ja nicht im Sterne Restaurant– aber das Ambiente sollte schon kompensieren. Nein, keine Empfehlung.

The food is delicious, very different interesting tapas, you have to try the grilled salmon and the brownie, but it was a bit noisy and the waiter was a bit forgetful;)

We ordered a mixed platter of local specialties, a tenderloin sirloin and some cava. All was obviously tapas size, but tasting excellent. Particularly the sirloin, which is a delicatessen in Spain. Decoration is cool, music in the background, waiter are youngsters dressed in black and atmosphere is quite relaxed, full of tourists. If you are looking for a good tapas bar, it is worth the stop.

Great, quick, and friendly service, nice atmosphere (music is good but a bit loud and décor is good), and located in the famous gotic quarter across from a famous opera house. There is bar and table seating and toilets for customers. Perfect sized restaurant as well.
I tried the chef’s salad 4/​5, tuna tataki 4.5÷5, and the chicken con salsa 4/​5, with a good glass of wine ⁴⁄₅ 3.50 €, and also the banana cake and a cappuccino combo 4.5÷5.

Great house wine, awesome tapas. Prices were fair and the atmosphere was laid back, also in a great location. Across from concert hall and off of a main st.

Hands down the best Tapas and Margaritas in Barcelona. My wife and I love this place so much that we visit it everyday! Staffs are so friendly and nice. The atmosphere is perfect! Just love everything about this place.

Quaint little restaurant with so many good dishes! Great way to our Barcelona trip! I’d come back again next time!
The food:
Jamon Iberica: very generous portion! Tasty and delicious!
Foie gras and cheese plate: very smooth foie gras and yummy Brie. Nothing too extraordinary but comfort food for those who love foie gras and Brie.
Mussels: they cook theirs with a green/​herb/​garlicky sauce. It was finger licking good! We dipped bread into the sauce! :-)
Fried baby octopus: MUST GET! Freshly fried so it’s hot and cooked perfectly! Not rubbery, not smelly, not greasy. So good!
Sangria: light, flavorful, refreshing on a warm summer’s night!

Nous né sommes pas des grands habitués des tapas, mais on s’est fait plaisir ! Un peu d’attente, mais les plats sont vraiment de qualité ! Les quantités sont aussi très acceptables.

Nous avons suivi les recommandations du site. Nous né sommes pas déçu par la qualité. Le jambon est délicieux. Parfois un peu long pour obtenir la commande. Mais les serveurs sont très sympa. Je recommande cette adresse. Juste en face du Palais de la musique

We came here for lunch around 2:30 so the place was not very busy. We had the grilled prawns, tomato bread, foie, and the mussels. The standout was definitely the prawns. Some of the best prawns we had our whole time in Spain. The meal was affordable and tasty.

A perfect Tapas & Vino, nice place next to the Opera and so best tapas food ever. Yummy, yummy.

Actual tapas in Barcelona for myself and my girlfriend on night 1 of our trip. Great small bites… a well done mojito… bi-​lingual staff. When you are fighting jet lag this establishment will be kind. Tapas won’t blow you away and it is right across from the entrance from the Palau de la Música Catalana so it can look filled up from the crowd in the street and maybe a small group grabbing an espresso wanders in so don’t give up if the place looks slammed… I might not… depends on the time of day.

Awesome little gem across from La Palau de la Musica. Such a great value! We tried the 11 euro special of 3 tapas, a drink (either wine, beer or sangria) and a coffee. There was so much food, we ate maybe half and were stuffed! I tried the mushroom and carrot risotto, the fried potatoes and this goat cheese & mozzarella empanada. Carb-​a-​licious. Their sangria was off the hook! The service was also great, as the server was extra nice and helpful. Next time I’m in Barcelona, I need to come back and try a few more things!

The best tapas bar I ever made. Every drink is made on-​demand, in front of you. Maids are always smiling. Prices sound great to your ears. Taste is… Well, okay, tasty :)

On se promenait au hasard dans les rues de Barcelone (avec la faim au ventre, je dois l’admettre) et nous sommes tombés sur ce resto à tapas qui nous avait l’air plutôt alléchant. Comme Barcelone a le magnifique avantage d’être une ville où l’on peut manger plus ou moins TOUT LE TEMPS, on se décide à entrer.
L’endroit est sobre et c’est clairement un truc fait pour les touristes (entendre: ce n’est pas le bar du coin de rue un peu perdu mais néanmoins super bon). On s’assied et le serveur vient tout de suite nous demander ce que l’on veut.
On commande et on se rend compte que les quantités sont vraiment énormes par rapport à ce à quoi on s’attendait. C’est plutôt très bon et on est repartis avec un doggy bag pour finir à la maison. Au menu: pain tomate (à la catalane), olives, supions frits, jambon ibérique avec une bière locale. Bref, un festin auquel on né s’attendait pas.
Je recommande cet endroit sur les coups de 18−19h pour une ambiance plus intime et plus tard si vous voulez faire la bamboula ;)

Tosca es una genial opción si estás por el centro. Su ubicación no puede ser mejor, justo delante del Palau de la Música. Precisamente por eso podrías pensar que no es un sitio de calidad o que es muy caro, ¡pero todo lo contrario!
Es un local con un estilo muy propio y bastante europeo. En su carta encontramos diferentes opciones para hacer un brunch y a un precio de lo más razonable. Además también tienen tapas, ensaladas, carnes… y está todo delicioso.
Puedes acabar de postre con algunas de sus tartas y un cocktail para rematar, con una gran variedad donde elegir y casi todos a 5 €.
Es una muy buena opción para casi cualquier momento del día.

Sind heute durch Zufall hier gelandet. Absolut annehmbare Preise (Bier 2 €, Wasser 0,5 l/1,50 €, Wein 200 ml/3,20 €, Tapas zwischen 3,50 € und 6,00 €, teilweise auch mehr, die gemischte Platte kostet 12,00 €).
Genug Tapas zur Auswahl, aber nicht zu überladen. Die Karte (englisch/​spanisch) ist übersichtlich mit kurzen und knappen Erläuterungen, der Service ist sehr (!) schnell und freundlich, die Toiletten und die Tische sauber (waren allerdings auch kurz nach der Ladenöffnung um 17:30 Uhr da).
Geschmacklich einwandfrei, die warmen Tapas waren auch wirklich warm, das Brot knusprig, der Salat frisch, der Käse lecker … Einfach toll.
Wer Tapas essen will, ist hier goldrichtig, das Tosca ist in unseren Augen ein absoluter Geheimtipp. Auch, weil die Cocktails mit 4 € sehr sehr preiswert sind!
