A great value for some local food. Food comes out quickly and its great to see what appears to be a family run place near a tourist attraction like Park Guell. We had the Catalan Stew and Zuchinni Soup — the stew was hearty and filling and the Zuchini Soup was refreshing and light. The Chicken Hot Pot was so tender and the Veal steak was quite flavorful. I would say this place is more of a 4.5 than it is a 5 to me though.

We visited Parc Guell and were considering lunch in the Parc but it looked very un-​inviting, so we looked up nearby restaurants and found Bar Casi on Unilocal — what a great find !!
The owner was very welcoming and friendly, and although he did not speak much English he made himself understood perfectly.
The food and service was excellent, and fairly quick, and the price quite reasonable. We would have liked to have stayed longer, but were pressed for time.
I’d highly recommend if you are in the area to visit Bar Casi for a meal. We certainly will next time we visit Barcelona!

What a find! Unbelievable food, and even better ambience. I had the vegetable soup and grilled sausage — delicious. The vibe in this place is fantastic — you’ve stumbled into a Barcelona neighborhood secret. Finally, the service is second to none. The place was packed, but somehow the only waiter (probably the owner) made us feel like we were the mist important people there. This is a Barcelona must for lunch!

Excelente alternativa para después de pasar el día en el parque Guell. Comida casera muy rica y a muy buen precio. Tres platos por 10 euros. El servicio es muy bueno también.
Great alternative after spent the day at Park Guell. Good food as you are eating at Catalan Family. There is not better option in the area. The service is very good too. They will working out with you if you don’t speak Spanish.

I highly recommend Bar Casi, especially if you are visiting the Parque Guell. It is just a 5 to 10 minute walk down/​up a street that leads past the church of St Joseph up to the west side of the park.
My favorite place to eat in Barcelona. These people are so welcoming. When we first arrived it was just before they opened for lunch and the cooks were eating with some family. They sat us anyway and gave us a free tapa while we waited (for 10 minutes, no big deal right). They were so apologetic about the wait, and very excited to know if we liked the food. It was delicious by the way. I grew up eating Catalonian cooking in a small village outside Zaragoza, this cooking reminded me of my great aunt’s. They raise all their vegetables at their house just outside of town, and the meat is also local and they hand prep it themselves. The owner was so nice and very good with the small children there from the neighborhood.
Oh, and the price for a multi course lunch (which was frankly to large for me to eat all of) was extremely inexpensive. Go there! You won’t regret it.

We only had fries and sodas but they were fresh and delicious! The staff was also great. Very friendly and kind! I would recommend stopping by, good food and welcoming staff.

This is not a fancy restaurant. Are you looking for some Catalan home-​cooking? This is the place to be! Although we walked into an almost empty restaurant, it filled up within 30 minutes.
Our host and server was so genuine. Right from the start, you knew you were going to be taken care of. Friendly, hospitable, and definitely a kind soul.
Their menu of the day consisted of an appetizer, a main, a dessert, a drink, and bread to go with your meal. € 10. Five stars for value. We had just come from London so the price difference for food was shocking and yet a welcome respite.
I think I could’ve just ordered an appetizer and be happy. But no, if the locals can do it, I could too!
Two of us had:
drinks-​coke and cava
appetizers-​macaroni of the day and special soup of the day
mains-​sausage and stewed fish
desserts-​baked apple and gelato
We were both so full after our meal! No wonder afternoon rests or siestas are necessary for the Spanish to continue with their days!!!
I wish this family-​run restaurant the best of luck! I hope everyone who visits Park Guell or is in the area to give this place a try!

Walked in 10 minutes before they opened for the mid-​day meal. You would never find this without Unilocal but it is a neighborhood gem. Gaspazio to DIE for. If you want to eat somewhere that’s run by family, visited by locals, and incredible food — come to Bar Casi. Good favors and family recipes, lots of garlic, amazing service. Great place to work into your Parc Guell visit. The perfect Barcelona experience.

Spanischkenntnisse sind zwar von Vorteil, es findet sich aber offenbar immer ein Gast, der gerne ins englische übersetzt! Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Yes Yes Yes! These people will serve you a meal for 10 euros, everything included. Once you walk in it’s obvious that this place is loved by locals. The people that come here mostly know eachother and some of them actually set their own tables and grab wine. We came in with a group of 5 and people started reseating so we could sit together. It was quite the warm welcome. Outside was a sign saying they don’t speak English very well, but they do cook good. And not a single word was lied.
We had a local dish to start with, since it was recommended most of us had it, it was smoked pepper and eggplant. And it was very tasteful, with oil and herbs on top. Second dish was a meat or fish dish. I had the chicken, and it was perfect! We could choose out of several deserts, but I don’t know if they were homemaid. We had coffee, because the first two dishes were more than enough!

I use to come here for coffee in the morning. But still sometimes I also have lunch and it is by far the best menu around. I love the caldo gallego! Everything they cook is delicious and home made and the owners always try to make you feel at home.
