The one-man-band that is Rasmus Olsen is not to be underestimated. Not only does Ro offer up some top-notch, attractive-looking chocolates(ganache, wee bars, marzipan…) in different shapes and colors, it also now produces and sells lovely ice-cream on premises. If I recall correctly, there were about a half dozen flavors on hand from fruity to sweet. I chose the licorice ice-cream and was instantly brought back my 70s childhood which, come to think of it, was the last time I ate this particular ice-cream in America. Unlike the licorice ice-cream of street vendors around CPN, Ro’s version was brown in color and not vanilla-looking ice-cream marbled with dark strands, of which I am also a fan. Ro’s, however, offers a more complex, yet smooth variation on the theme and is well worth trying. Ro shares Jaegersborggade with many interesting shops mostly of the one-off variety. Window shopping here is a treat and made all the more attractive with an ice-cream cone in hand.
