A must try if you are in Norrebrø!!
I wandered in this place while roaming the cobblestone street of Jægersborggade and found myself in a caramel confection dream. Karamelleriet freshly prepares and packages all of their delectable caramels in store and ships them around the globe. I was offered to try their chocolate caramel hot off the assembly line and I was hooked! One of the confectioners engaged with my friends and I and explained how this shop is one of the two in Denmark and the only producing all of their sweets. They also have their flagship store in Iceland and the shop has been making caramels (and only caramels) for many many years.
Although a tiny shop, this place is pumping out high quality, small batch caramels and is such a neat find. If in the area, be sure to stop by to see some confectionary magic and try their creamy caramels.

This small shop produce and sell home made caramels. The production is going on in the store, and I don’t think I’ve ever visited without getting a caramel directly from the production. That’s just the attitude of the people working here.
It’s quite expensive, and I only buy caramels here when I’m having guests, or it somethings special that I want to celebrate. And I often give a bag of caramels from Karamelleriet to friends at their birthday — it’s the perfect gift.

Love this place, and if you love sweets, you will too! Wonderful fresh caramels made right on the spot in all different flavors. Cream caramels, licorice, fruit, chocolate. They usually give you a free sample when you come in the door and then they actually want to chat about caramels as you browse the shelves. The kitchen is right there and you can watch them make the caramels. This is a fun and tasty spot to visit.
