This review is only on their mini cakes. My husband purchased the tiramisu and the chocolate cake with almonds. The tiramisu was a bit too sweet and didn’t have as much mascarpone/cream as I usually like so it seemed a tiny bit dry. But the chocolate cake with almonds was to die for! Any dark chocolate fan should definitely try that cake. It was rich but not overly sweet. I definitely savored every single bite. Their other sweet pastries always look enticing as well so I plan to try them out in the future. I didn’t know that Brioche Dorée was an international chain prior to trying out their food at Torvehallerne. After trying them, it’s good to know that I can trust their brand whenever I spot them again.

We stopped here after getting some coffee at the Coffee Collective. We grabbed a chocolate croissant and the trio of cream puffs. The food was all delicious, although on the smaller side. My only complaint is that we stood there for more than a moment before an employee acknowledged us. All in all, we would return. This little bakery is inside a larger building that has the feel of a greenhouse. It seems the structure might be called Torvehallen/Torvehallerne? I highly recommend stopping by and having a walk through this structure — there’s something for everyone — coffee, flowers, bakeries, etc!

I never tried anything else other than their classic croissant. But usually one can just use a croissant to get a feeling for the quality of a bakery, imho. And their croissant is just awesome. Ok, I Am always half sleepy going to work in the morning, but I take my croissant seriously. Crispy, perfect buttery-ness, light and full of flavor. And ah, oh dirty cheap for city’s standard prices(16 dkk).

It’s pretty ok bakery. The eclairs are great and the macarons are ok. Nothing compared to the macaron masters in Strangas, of course — but Torvehallen is convenient and it’s located next to Nørreport st, right on the smack on my way home. Once in a blue moon, when I need to be high on sugar, I just drop by at this place to get all my sweet needs fulfilled, and I’m looking forward to summer when I could sit on the outside table, people-watching and eating their eclairs. PS: How come we don’t have similar word like«skål» for eating sweets? ;)

This is a French bakery located in the Torvehallerne Food Hall. It always has a fresh supply of bread, no matter when you go. Their baguettes are crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside and are a perfect accompaniment to soup or the sandwiches they serve their at lunch. My favorite is the strawberry tart, it is beautifully baked and very French. The prices are reasonable for Denmark and is a good place to pick up a light snack or as an accompaniment to your dinner.
