A big park, good for jogging and walks with a lot of shade from trees. Although it’s allowed, I would NOT recommend it for a picnic since dogs are allowed to run off-leash in over a third of the park and their owners may lose control of them or forget where they are allowed. If you want to have a picnic, just go across the street to Frederiksberg Have. Absolutely no grilling in either place! The toilets are close to the middle of the park and there is even a spot where you can peek in on the zoo for free. Great to have a nice big green oasis in the middle of Frederiksberg. It’s open all the time but it is not well-lit at night.

Really great park, a sort of little sister to the much larger Frederiksberg Have nearby. Not terribly large, but quite hilly, especially for Copenhagen. Lots of playgrounds, small lakes, workout areas, picnic areas, and much more. Don’t expect a lot of peaceful solitude anywhere in this park, as its popularity makes it quite cramped and crowded, pretty much at all times of the day and the year. Good, and popular, for running, as the hills present a nice challenge. Just on the outskirts of it, you’ll find the danish army’s military school in old castle, and the Copenhagen Zoo.

Great park! Just as beautiful in Winter as I am sure it is in Summer. A lot of interesting spaces to relax/run/stroll exist in Søndermarken, my favourite being the little Danish house looking out over the bridge and stream. There is also facilities for working out on In various areas and a really cool window into the zoo where you can see several animals including zebras and giraffes!
