Summary: Needs a make-over to regain its former glory. Great to have access to Fitness DK. Really nice staff. Great location. Location: Hands down one of the best. You are across the street from Central Station, so it’s very quick to get to and from the airport or anywhere else you’re trying to go to in Denmark and beyond. Pretty much everything goes through Central Station. Atmosphere: You can tell in it’s hay day this place was great. Indeed, if you go to the Museum of design, they mention will tell you that the top floor dining room. If I was here 1 decade ago, I would be taking notes for my apartment renovation. It’s a bit faded from that. Service: A really nice staff that are quick to help. My 3 star rating is definitely not a reflection on their 5 star niceness. Very helpful group. Fitness: You have access to Fitness DK and it’s classes. This is like an Equinox, so you’ll have access to steam room and sauna. The downside is that this place closes. If you’re like me and wake up at odd hours or if you are working outside of the city, that can really restrict your access to fitness. Breakfast: This is not a bad spread. It’s not as much selection as Skt Petri, but the selection is fine and will make most people pretty happy. Service with breakfast is pretty good as well. Rooms: I got the family suite. It really is 400 sq ft. The design has 2 bathrooms, which would be great for families. I could see children sleeping on the couch. However, it all feels a bit dated. I think if you put a new design mind in here, the whole space would come alive. The TV’s are quite dated, But this is true of nearly every hotel I’ve stayed at in Copenhagen(think the first flat screens that came out 480p). It comes down to price for me. If you’ve got kids and want to share your room, this could work better than other hotel rooms if the price is right.

I’m a bit undecided about this hotel. The rooms definitely need an renovation. They are rather small and the furniture is out-dated. The baths mountings were totally tarnished… At the first day/night the staff also was quite lousy. Slow check-in by two interns, no upgrade. At the next morning the waitor at the breakfast didn’t remove used dishes from our table. At the buffet many things were empty or just missing. Fortunately things got better the next days. The staff I met now was very courteous and did a good job — also at the breakfast. Now the buffet there was also richer. They even had lactose free milk and yoghurt — great! At my birthday they even surprised me with a little gift when they got to know of it. That was very nice! What counts in the end is that the rooms definitely need a renovation. The breakfast room could also be a little more inviting. At least you have a nice view from your room over the town and parking at the streets is cheap(35DKK/day). So this hotel is ok to go, but up to now unfortunately only three stars worth.

As a basic hotel, this Radisson Blu property delivers. The main draws to this property are its customer service(when you find a hotel employee), the free wifi, and its proximity to the Metro(Frederiksberg Station) esp. if you are flying in and out of Copenhagen’s Kastrup Airport since both the hotel and the airport are on the same line(no need to change trains). The breakfast buffet was good too: lots of food items to choose from and the food quality was good. The hotel room itself could require some updating. Being in Denmark, I expected Danish or Scandinavian décor. When I walked in the room, it was rattan with brass highlights. The bed was awfully squeeky too. The TV was small and one of those with big tubes. There was an airconditioning unit but it produced VERY little cooling. The bathroom and shower was very small. Finally, the price we paid was probably our limit for the quality of the hotel room(DKK900−1000/night). I would reconsider the score if the breakfast buffet(DKK125 per person) was included in the rate.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights but would probably not stay here again. Location is good and the view is great but room standard really needs an update. Standard rooms are small, beds uncomfortable and interior old and worn out. Wifi was free and staff was really nice though.

I stayed one night at the Radisson Blu Falconer in December 2011. The location is pretty good, a few minutes walk from Frederiksberg metro station — and the metro runs from the airport, a 20 minute metro ride. The hotel is also a conference center but the evening I arrived there appeared to be very little going on at the hotel. There was actually no one at all at the front desk when I arrived — after a while a guy showed up from one of the back rooms. The check-in process was quick so no complaints. I had a room fairly high up in the building. The view was however not anything special, facing a residential building. I was very disappointed when getting to the room. It felt like it was renovated 20 years ago and when staying at a Radisson hotel I expect some decent design in the room. This felt like I was staying in a shabby hotel somewhere around the Mediterranean(what is up with the rattan chairs?). The room was fairly small, bed was comfortable but did not like the mirrors around it. The TV was very small and old and the remote barely functioned(some buttons were just not working). No iron and ironing board in the room(I am sure that one can ask for it but still do not like the fact that I need to call and ask for it). Free Internet was however available and working fine. Bathroom was also pretty bad, small shower with very uneven temperature(fluctuating from cold to hot). I also do stay at other Radisson/Rezidor hotels fairly frequently and the brand of shampoo etc. was the same here but they went for the cheap option of combined shampoo and shower gel. Yet another example that this is probably one of their ‘budget’ Radisson hotels. So far I had not experienced many positive things about the hotel and it was heading for a lower rating but what saved it was the breakfast. Very nice and fresh — had good smoothies, good selection of hot food(eggs, several sausages, bacon, meatballs etc) and also very fresh selection of cold food. Good and very friendly service from the staff working there as well. This saves the hotel and would perhaps make me consider it as an option for next time.
