Really nice pizza place, small and cozy. The owner is a kind man with a thick Italian accent undoubtedly from Sicily! I ordered a calzone and it was actually good, the ingredients were not sloppy and cheap like in most of the places and the pizza dough was well prepared. The definite plus of this place is owing a real oven, a over with a proper fire and wood. That gives the pizza a nice touch and a unique flavor during the cooking process that you cannot match with regular electric or gas ovens. Looking forward to try out more stuff, but for now: they deserve the 4th star for the effort they made in buying a real oven and for the good quality of their Calzone. Well done! Bravi! PS: it should be 3,5 stars but since it is not possible to attribute such a mark on Unilocal and since today I feel generous, I’ll give it 4 stars even though this is not at the same level of 4-stars places I’ve ranked before.

This little place is tucked away right next to Gl.Kongevej. Very modestly decorated and with a faded façade, this little italian pizzaria looks like the ones from the movies. They have woodburning oven(Forno a legna) and they know how to use it. The Capricciosa I ordered was well made, the dough however was a little two flat, lacking some of the well known bubbles that eventually appear on the pizza when it’s being cooked in a 500C hot oven. The crust was crunchy and the pizza was overall really delicious. But I just can’t help but think that they miss the final edge which will grant them the 5 stars and make them a serious contender against the Forno a Legna pizzaria on Falkoner Allé. But a great alternative when the other place is too crowded and you want excellent Pizza!
