Hadis Café

Loved this little place. Hadi is a character. He was just what we needed on our first evening in Copenhagen. The food was fantastic, and the owner very attentive and pleasant — and he speaks English well (which was really helpful, since none of us speak Danish). «Hadi burger» is like none you’ve ever had. Hamburger with bacon, cheese and fresh mixed greens on a toasted multi-​grain bun, served with tender roasted new potatoes. You eat this burger with a knife and fork. Chicken breast with salsa and cheese was served with a salad of cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, capers, olives, and a mild, soft Turkish cheese tossed with vinegar and oil. «Traditional Danish» dinner was very good, as well. Would definitely recommend this place. We were pleased and amazed that we could use our AmEx here. We may have to go back once more before we leave… It cost about $ 100 (US) for four people with no alcohol or beverages. Definitely not cheap, but worth the experience.
