If you want a delicious traditional Danish meal, this is the place to go. The frikadeller(meatballs) are moist and satisfying. My favorite, however, is the flæskesteg(pork roast). All meals come with abundant sides, my favorites being the agurkesalat(cucumber salad), rødkål(red cabbage), and the brunede og hvide kartofler(caramelised white potatoes). You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. The portions are generous and satiating. No visit to the Copenhagen area is complete without a stop at Café Lindevang for a real taste of Denmark!

I had to have a proper end to my 5 months in Copenhagen. What better way than to have a proper Danish meal. Café Lindevang was not far from where I was living(Frederiksberg) and my friends have tried it and said it’s really good. They said that portions were large, but I wasn’t expecting what arrived. I ordered the Danish meatballs(friend’s recommended) and my jaw dropped. When the waiter was approaching with our orders, I thought he had everyone’s order with him… He only had one order and this was a huge platter. Trust me, you won’t be able to finish it(at least I didn’t). Dane’s love their cabbage and potatoes and meat. This was enough potatoes for a family feast honestly! The meatballs were seasoned well and were moist. Spread some gravy and jam on it and you’ll understand why these will be one of the best meatballs you’ll ever have. I loved the red cabbage and the sweet potatoes. I couldn’t eat any of the side potatoes… It was just too much… For the price of the meal, this is a lot of food! Sit outside when it’s sunny! Have a beer, enjoy some dessert, chat with friends or come for a feast! *SUPERFRIENDLYSTAFF*
