The greatest zoological museums are Naturkunde in Berlin or Zoological Museum in London, and Zoologisk Museum is not near in that class, but it offers something else. You can pretty close to a range of stuffed animals and skulls. This is fun for children, but the old biologist also use a lot of time with the skulls. The museum is small and intimate. You can do it in 2 – 3 hours, if you do not linger like me. It’s situated in the two top floors at the Zoological Institute of Københavns Universitet(UCPH). Take the lift or the stairs from the small gift shop at ground flor. By the lift you can start your visit in an area used to changing exhibitions. Learn at the website, what it is right now. From this room you can enter an icecave. In the cave you visit the big mammoth, and you can begin to explore the fauna of Denmark though history. After the stroll though history, and can learn a bit about nowadays fauna in Denmark. It’s an old and very poor part of the exhibition. The last thing at this floor is the school service. It’s the place with stuffed animals and skulls. In school holidays they have university students with all kind of exciting things here. At the top floor you can walk your way from the Artic to the Anartic, and the great evolution exhibition.
