I was hesitant about coming here. We were looking for another restaurant called Green Mango but Google had pointed us in the wrong direction and after an hour of roaming around in the neighbourhood, we settled on Siam Orchid. The place is decorated like it’s a thai temple of sorts so I was wary of whether or not the food was going to be authentic(I’ve always felt like the more gimmicky a place looks, the less authentic the ethnic food is) so we just started with one Siam curry chicken for about 100 dkk and rice came separate(around 30dkk). The food is placed on metal holder that has a tealight candle underneath to keep it warm. Really cool. We got spicy and the dish was sooo delicious that we decided to get another dish. This time we got the Royal red curry beef. The Siam curry was slightly better, but the red was still pretty good. I can’t believe how great the food was there. The only downside was the price. Two dishes and two white rice totalled 251dkk, which was equivalent to 35EUR or 45USD. That’s $ 22.50 per dish. At least it was good food. CASHONLY — the bf had to run out to get cash — uncommon in copenhagen.
