A late review is better than no review, woo! This was my first museum & brunch club event. I had seen photos from previous events that had been held and they looked super fun so I was thrilled to attend this one. The event started at Café Bodega in Nørrebro. I love how a lot of these events help me to experience new places I normally wouldn’t have tried. However, in this case, I really didn’t enjoy the Café’s food. I’m not a picky person when it comes to food but I honestly felt the buffet brunch was quite boring. Not very interesting choices & not very tasty. The only thing that looked pretty exciting was their pancakes(Which I didn’t try, maybe my mistake?). I absolutely loved the tour we had at the Arbejdermuseet! Our guide was really informative and made it really enjoyable to walk around the museum. I don’t go to nearly enough museum’s(and honestly had never heard of this museum before this event) but It was a great time and I really look forward to the next event! Everyone is always so sweet at Unilocal events, and this was no exception, I always leave with a smile on my face from getting to know all the lovely Unilocal members and having great events. Camilla did an amazing job with this event, as she always does. I personally think these reviews of events should be for the whole experience, which also includes the food. I give the food 2 stars(sadly!) but 100% give the event itself 5 stars! So let’s just round up to 4 stars in total shall we: D

I’m still smiling, when I think back on this event. We had a good time together, all us Unilocalers. It was made possible by our CM Camilla in collaboration with Bodega and Arbejdermuseet. Bodega have a separate room for bigger parties. We could easy sit 25 and have a brunch buffet in the room. Normally Bodega have 3 different brunch plates, but we were served a mix of all the things on a buffet. Have a look at the pictures, if you want to know all the dishes. Everything tasted more than okay, and I want to emphasize the pancakes with a rhubarb jam and the smoked salmon mousse. The meat balls and fish cakes were also a pleasant surprise. The food was somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, but because of a great service from our waiters, I have to end up closer to four. They paid big attention and came with new supplies of food, coffee, tea, juice, and water when needed. I would have preferred to get a new clean plate, when I visited the buffet. After the feast Camilla had prepared a quiz. It was great fun. Fortunately we had a bit of walking to do, to end up at Arbejdermuseet. Here we had a guided tour. We heard a bit of history of the building, the living conditions for a normal working class family during the Industrialization, Christmas in the years after WW2, and much more. Our guide were a fountain of knowledge, and he were able tell the history in a very empathetic way. We didn’t have time to see all the exhibitions, so I definitely have to go back to this museum on my own. I’m also planning to make a excursion with my colleagues from work. A guided tour is only 1500DKR. The trip to Arbejdermuseet was a delight. It is one of the forgotten gems in Copenhagen. A place telling us about the most important periode in Danish history. The periode where we turned from a peasant society ruled by a dictatorially king to a democratic socialist wellfare state.
