Wasn’t the best Vietnamese restaurant I’ve been so far. Very crowded and noisy. The atsmosphere is not really pleasant. The menu is cool though. They offer a lot of small dishes that you can share. So nice concept. Kind of cheap for Copenhagen, 288DKK(±42 €) for a rice ginger soup(delicious), rice noodle with Vietnamese roll, noodle with veggie and cocomilk, a small dessert and drinks(try the lemonade!)

I see a lot of people complaining about their price here, but dude, you’re in DENMARK. You’re right between two of the most expensive places(Norway and Sweden respectively) in Scandinavia so if you’re expecting ‘reasonable’ prices, then go buy a baguette and stay at home. /endrant We wandered into LêLê accidentally cause we were confused as to why there were two so close to each other(the other is the full service restaurant). This place is basically the Chipotle of vietnamese food. Not super authentic, but freaking delicious. The portions are pretty monstrous for a European country, and will definitely fill you up. I throughly enjoyed by spicy chicken, and my boyfriend was struggling to finish his salad and fried rolls. All in all, this place was a fun try during our travels! Pro-Tip, if you don’t speak Danish, don’t worry, ask for an english menu, they have them in the smaller size.

Good food. Pricey as per US standards($ 9 for six small wings, $ 12 for three small lettuce wraps). Pleasant service. This may be the only place in Copenhagen that serves tap water, at NOCHARGE. Now there’s an idea, Copenhagen, free water, from your taps! For this alone I’m bumping them up from four to five stars.

Honestly, after all the hype about this place I was quite disappointed. It was really not that good and quite expensive for what you get. It made me miss all the cheap Viet cafes in London. The bun sa(rice noodle salad) and especially the spring rolls(which should be nice light and crispy) were quite average and not very authentic. I really hope there is better(and cheaper) Vietnamese in Copenhagen.

I’m not going to comment on the price as it will be fairly average for locals, and super expensive if you’re just visiting. It’s Denmark, folks. That said, this is the spot to try if you want to taste the famous«LêLê» menu without going to the actual fine-dining restaurant. Unless of course you have the $. Great spot for a cool salad and Vietnamese ice coffee on a hot summer day, but flavors are not authentic enough to satisfy my vietnamese food craving. Salad was just regular greens with a simple sauce, nothing I couldn’t make from my own kitchen. Vermicelli roll was OK, again nothing special, making it seem overpriced even for Copenhagen. I think a lot of it has to do with the branding — they do a good job of spreading themselves throughout the city, making themselves known to the Danes who will find the cuisine new and interesting. Good, fresh picnic food. I’m glad they don’t pre-make their rolls. But overall, I wouldn’t recommend LêLê, as there are other more affordable, more bang-for-your-buck options if you just do your research. Hint: Do you want real, tasty, authentic vietnamese food in Copenhagen? Go to Nha Trang in Nørrebro!!! All main plates are around 100 dkk, AMAZING Vietnamese coffee. Seriously, GO!

This was our first meal in Copenhagen and we really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and wonderfully spicy, the atmosphere relaxed, and the general ambiance chic. I appreciated the free tap water. As a tourist, I also appreciated the menu having pictures; this helped me pick up some Danish while feeling confident that I knew what I was ordering. I end up giving LêLê 2 stars simply because of price. They were just so hugely expensive that what we ate did not match what we paid. Had they been *half* the price, I would happily give them 4 stars. But given the price, it’s like eating an ordinary meal in a cafeteria but paying for a really fancy one at a sit-down place. We didn’t know any better, again, because it was our first meal in the city. But as we came to understanding pricing during our visit here, we also came to understand just how overprice LêLê is.

A bit pricey but very good street food both for eating there or for takeout.

the curiosity got the better of me again, and I decided to see what a «vietnamesisk» place would be like. got a lemongrass beef noodle. So the first major difference is much less fish sauce flavor, very mild. the correct ingredients are there, but not bold like in SJ. mint leaves, sprouts, chilis, chopped nuts, etc are there but the pickled cucumbers are only lightly pickled. lemongrass flavor also weak, and could use more bun noodle, which was not very soft. oh yeah, and here it’s 3 times the hole-in-the-wall prices I’m used to.
