Really good pastries. We got the chocolate croissant and cinnamon roll and both were very fresh. Hit this place up when you’re waiting for a flight.

Outstanding quality and value for airport food. I have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed with the food. I am not very impressed with the coffee, but the pastries are divine. My favorites are the traditional Danish pastries(they have two choices: raspberry jam or cream — which is a custard filling) and the chocolate swirl pastry.

They’re treating the food like the bag handlers treat our luggage. Food here is great. This is due to the franchise(it’s all over Denmark) and definitely not the service. We had a horrible experience today: When we ordered two salads(at a 130, — kr. mind you), the server returned with half filled boxes with the food just sloshed in there, flat and with liters of dressing on them. My girlfriend asked politely, if we could get the full 400 grams of salad announced on menu, since these were clearly light(I’m talking 200 grams maximum). Server proceeded to give us «the look» of despise, then sighed loudly, didn’t say a word, and just went back to the counter and sloshed another couple of spoonfuls on there, giving it a good push downwards as if he was making a salad espresso or something. Then he returned, forced a fake smile and said, and I quote, «here», and proceeded to look over my shoulder. That was it. The guy before me asked for a regular filter coffee. No words from the server, he just got it from the back and said«here». When the guest asked for some milk to put in, the server said«try looking down at that table» and pointed arbitrarily out in the air, leaving the guest looking confused. Then the server just walked away, and guest looked around until another coffee«victim» showed him where to find the milk. All of the waiters/servers look like they just hate working there, basically. No smiles, no greetings, no polite answers, and no extra care in packing or serving the food. The food is not treated with care and was just tossed around and bagged like it was a stack of newspapers. I mean, if you’re going to mope around and not help your guests, at least have the decency to treat the food you serve with some goddam respect!

We didn’t use all the Danish money we had and I was looking for Danish typical pastries that wasn’t cinnamon roll or tebirkes. I wish I found them somewhere else but at the airport but I got a Danish and a Christianshavn cake. The Danish was ok, nothing special but I’m glad I tried the other cake. The cream on top tastes like milk & strawberry and the cake itself has plenty of different nuts inside.

I have always been a great fan of Lagkagehuset and am very pleased that they have open for business in the airport. There are two desks: One for handing out coffee and baked goods for the people on the go, and one for the people who prefer to eat while sitting in the — actually pretty large and spaceous — room overlooking the planes. Needless to say, this room is crawling with families most of the time(the kids enjoy watching the planes while Mum and Dad enjoy their coffee), so you should not expect to be able to sit and work undisturbed. But take a moment to relax and relish the ever fresh baked goods and the steaming hot and tasteful coffee before rushing off to your plane — it is definitely worth it!

Dare I say that Copenhagen has some of the best baked goods in the world? It’s certainly true at the higher end restaurants. Even a chain like Lagkagehuset, with this branch being in the airport puts out some outstanding backed goods. While waiting to leave for home, got an excellent rhubarb(the Danes love their rhubarb) croissant. Since it’s in the airport the lines are somewhat long and not completely organized. Otherwise they make a good product and it’s way better than American airport food!
