I’m a fan of Halifax’s concept but the execution needs serious work. This particular location had great service and a lot of room, if not a little hidden away. Looking at their menu physically or online, it lists exactly what is in the burger. Which is great because I can see which ones have those pesky cucumbers and pickles and I can request them to be left out. I got the Liverpool(140 dkk) which consists of aioli, chives, a fried egg, bacon, «soft» onions(not quite caramelized), cheddar, HP sauce, pickles, white onion, and lettuce. I passed on the pickles and white onion and substituted a whole wheat bun for the regular white bun. Don’t make the same mistake that I did; that bun nearly fell apart as I finished it off. Though our server asked how I wanted the patty, I got something more like medium than rare. Others in our group got worse but our server was so nice throughout the ordeal and brought fresh fries with the dishes that had to be re-fired. One person even got a well-done burger TWICE after asking for it rare. Our server was happy to give the burger to him for free, as well as another beer. The burger as a whole was OK but forgettable. The best thing on it was the perfectly fried egg. The fries were thankfully very good; vinegar was the definitely winner with sweet potato coming in at a close second. But even though the fries are great and service is stellar that doesn’t mean this is a good burger joint. The kitchen needs to improve their communication or figure out what«rare» looks like.
