Rosendal Julemarked

Cut your own or buy pre-​cut Christmas trees at one of the most hyggelit Christmas markets on Sjælland. Take the juletog or drive to Ålsgårde near Helsingnør. Follow the little tree lined road to the barn where sits a super cute Julemarked and café. Children adore the farm animals — chickens, geese, bunnies and baby pigs as well as pony rides. Lots of decorations for your tree as well as small gifts artfully displayed in the cozy setting. Grab a saw and walk out to the field to cut your own Christmas tree. Wear boots as the path is quite muddy. Rosendals will wrap your tree and offer string to tie to your car or take back on the train. Warm up at a cozy candlelit table with some warm gløgg or cocoa and fresh fluffy æbleskivers. So good. A quintessential Danish jul experience. Well worth the drive from the city for a true glædelig jul!
