This Korean staple offers one non-spicy dish and a host of spicy ones. The food is pretty good as long as you don’t mind smelling like a Korean kitchen afterwards.

Yoogane … My girlfriend read a review and say that it’s a 4 star review and we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival at 6pm today and the queue it’s so long but we didn’t get to wait too long. When we are nearer the queue the service crew pass us the menu and take our order so that they can prepare the food in advance. I’m quite impressed about it. When it’s our turn, we are guided to our table and drinks was serve immediately. Within 10mins, our food is served to our table. The waiting time is almost zero, they have a group of fast legged service crew and I’m would like to give a Tumbs up for that. We ordered a few dishes: 1) Seafood & Chicken Galbi $ 52.90 This is the highlight of the night which is good for 3 to 4pax, we had chicken and seafood which includes mussels, octopus, squid, prawn. The combination of food is great and it’s good for 3 adult and 1 young kid. As for the sauce it’s not something I’m expecting. It’s alittle too dry for me as I prefer it to be saucy instead of like dry sauce. 2) Chicken Bulgogi Fried Rice $ 14.90 This hotplate fried rice is cater for only 1 pax but we ordered it to be shared as we have a kid with us. The rice is nicely fried with Chicken Bulgogi which really yummy. Love the combination of it. 3) Egg Roll $ 9.90 We orders this for the kid as she is a big fan of egg. This is just a simple egg somehow it’s serve like japanese egg roll. 4) Ramen Noodle $ 3.90 This Ramen is fried together with our seafood & chicken Galbi and the taste is really nice and we love it alot. Do order this when you have a big group of people. Do note that everything in the menu is price at 1 portion each so my suggestion is that you order to shared around. This is alittle pricy but it’s definately worth the dinning experience. The utensils is located at the drawer under the table. Everything is placed nicely within you reach.

Seeing the name Yoogane on someone’s Facebook made me wanted to try it myself since it has many chains in Korea itself. It is located at Bugis, nearer to the food court section. Walked into the restaurant around 2.30pm on a Tuesday and was expecting a crowd at that time but I was wrong. Got seated the moment we were at the front desk. The layout of this chain was very inviting. The forks and spoons together with napkins were placed at the side of the table in an organized manner. The server then gave us an apron each in case we wanted to cook. Looking at the menu and the food blog by Daniel give me an idea of what I should order. Ordered Chicken Galbi fried rice and royal chicken dokbokki. Since it is my first time trying, I wasn’t sure what to expect but by comparing with other Korean foods that I have tasted, it was one of the best. The spiciness was just right. Besides that, the chicken was tender like many others had mentioned. I’m not really a fan of chicken but since I was there I decided to try one of the chef recommended menus. The second dish — royal chicken dokbokki was a savoury dish. It has similar taste to chap chae(Korean glass noodle)‘s ingredients. There is also a complimentary salad bar where one can get portions of kimchi and other stuffs. Price wise was on the pricier end. But it is around $ 15 for a dish. Will definitely come back once again but hopefully the next time round there won’t be much crowd. P. S. Ask the server on how to charge your mobile phones while eating. Bön appetit!
