Ordered a medium well steak but got a well done steak. The steak was really dry and hard. I proceeded to inform the lady who I assume is the lady boss regarding the steak and she replied that it’s my fault for not eating the steak straight away(it was only on my table for like 5mins) and refused to change the steak for me. Her attitude and tone was extremely derogatory and it was as if she’s lecturing me. If your chefs didn’t cook it right in the first place, you should humbly accept the feedback and accept the request to change the steak and not talk in that kind of attitude towards your customer! I was extremely appalled by her attitude but didn’t want to create a scene so I didn’t push the matter further. It is basic service to change the steak for a customer if the steak isn’t cooked correctly in terms of its well-doneness as requested. This is no way to treat your customer and if your customer service is shitty, you will inevitably drive away customers. We will never revisit this place again!

It’s a relatively hidden gem. It doesn’t look that spectacular on Unilocal, with only 3 reviews at this time of writing. The shop didn’t exist in recent memory, and after a few days of going past it and seeing the long queues(I was initially suspicious of it being a new, overrated fad), I decided to try it myself. And yea, it was indeed good. And with no GST(I think it will eventually have though, if the customers keep coming), the price is really decent. I had a medium rare sirloin steak, which comes with garlic bread, some salad and a side. And the sirloin steak was great. And it comes with a sauce of your choice(I chose a Rosemary sauce), which also helped to enhance the taste. The 250gm steak was reddish enough, and tender. And all these for $ 20… Although I felt that their ice lemon tea($ 1.8) was on the sweeter side. My mum tried the whole poussin(which is a butcher’s term for young chicken) and the chicken was tender and fragrant. Should try too! Parking might be a problem, though. But I managed to get one quite quickly when u went in at 5.30pm.

Wasn’t plan on eating The Carving Board, was driving pass the coffeeshop. And saw a long queue there at 9pm… That really trigger my curiosity so I make a UTurn back at the car park and decided to join the queue. When I there I then realised that it is the only open shop in that coffeeshop, all are closed, even the usual drink stall also closed. I want to order Lambchop, that’s my favorite. When is it turn most of the thing I already sold out. But it is still worth it… Would be coming back these few days to try the lampchop! Great taste Great Value for Money!

Delicious and affordable western food in the neighborhood. Ingredients are freshly prepared. Quite generous serving. Just be prepared to queue for an hour during weekends and rush hour.

Looking at the staff in the shop is like watching«the matrix» movie of cooking and order taking. Food is good enough for the low price you’re paying for. Not worth the long queue and waiting time for the food, unless savings a few dollars for a decent western dinner is what you’re looking for.
