Decided to be a smart-ass and turned up at the restaurant without making a reservation only to be let down gently by the head waiter who apologetically told us they were fully booked for the evening. In between my dismayed sputtering, he decided to take pity on me and said he would give me a call if a table let up.
And it (thankfully) did.
Had a fantastic meal consisting of tasty fish cakes, crispy fish doused in spicy Thai sauce, alarmingly spicy Tom Yum Goong and rich green curry — all well-accompanied by fluffy jasmine rice. The only qualm I had with the food was that it was not quite warm enough. Food that isn’t of the right temperature always makes me unfoundedly suspicious.
Service definitely also deserves a mention — the staff were extremely attentive and took us very seriously when we asked for suggestions on our choice of dishes. They gave great recommendations based on just a couple of preferences highlighted.
Will definitely be turning up at their door again — with a reservation made this time.
