As a whole, very convenient. At the food court, people say the Spaghetti Bolognese is nice, but I find the Chicken Rice is also not bad. Indian food there are two near the entrance, but I didn’t become a great fan of them. フードコートで日本人に合うのは韓国料理、奥のチキンライス、スパゲティーボロネーゼ(知人談)。インド料理はあまりオススメできないかもしれません。2015/11

The mall itself is very«expat mum» in feel but the food court was delicious! I had some soup thing where I picked my ingredients and then got a delish bowl of soup out of it. The broth was good. I tried this same soup concept at another mall on Orchard and it was not the same.

An oldie but goodie! My husband remembers going here back in the ‘90s. I think it’s nice that there are still older but well maintained buildings amidst all the new malls in the Orchard area. It’s probably best to cab it or drive here, as it’s a bit far from the Orchard MRT. There are a few buses that stop nearby, but it’s still a short walk. There are a lot of children’s stores and specialty food shops here. I might end up shopping here if I’m not in the mood to visit Dempsey! I really enjoyed browsing through Brown Rice Paradise, the pricy organic grocery store, and taking a glimpse into Tanglin Market Place. There was also a small place that sold olive oils and tapenades, but it was closed for the day. I’d like to check it out some other time! There are also some decent restaurants, as Chili’s was what brought us here in the first place. Overall, a solid mall that caters to Western tastes. I’m a fan!

I like going to Tanglin Mall because it is a peaceful retreat from the busy malls down the street on Orchard Road. This mall hardly get busy, even during the weekends. Its frequented mostly by people who live in the Tanglin area and lots of expats. There is a supermarket, pharmacy and food court in the basement. And many cafes and restaurants as well. My favorite places to go to eat here would be Chili’s and Café Beviamo. Shops include lifestyle and childrens shops. More specialty shops here so there is not that much choice and selection and stores can be pretty pricey.

There are not many shops in Tanglin Mall. A notable few would be Birkenstock, That CD Shop, Royal Sporting House and Market Place. Tanglin Mall generally caters to the expat crowd especially Market Place which stocks a huge variety of foreign food products. Beyond that, Tanglin Mall also host flea markets every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month so if you’ve got some clothes to sell, sign up for a space!

Tanglin Mall has been around for ages. It is what I call the ‘expat yummy mummy’ mall. The supermarket here sells every imported product you could ever want(and I mean every), while the rest of the retail shops clearly focus on the expat female crowd of an older demographic. There are good maternity wear shops, and very very good(and pricey) toy shops for your kids. There are also a few decent F&B establishments here that cater to that type of crowd — check out Oomphatico and Brunetti.
