Went for dinner on a thursday night, and ordered the steamed pomfret, oyster omelette, chay poh kway teow, liver roll, and sweet potato leaves stir fried with garlic. Overall decent food, fresh fish(one of the better steamed fish i’ve ever had), and friendly service. If you’re in the area, worth stopping by for a family dinner. Otherwise, it’s not worth making the long trip over from my central orchard location.

The granddaddy(–mummy?) of Teochew restaurants in Singapore. Swa Garden is IT. Think delicious cold crabs, orh née, fish maw broth, braised goose, eight variety vegetables, cai por kway teow. All of it is good. If you’re not familiar with Teochew cuisine, just know that our food is great but so often underrated. and that you should just ask the friendly(for a Chinese restaurant) servers to teach you. It’s very, very authentically Teochew. right down to the tablecloth!
