This is my new favorite go-to salad place in Singapore. The salads/wraps are fresh and they have a good selection of ingredients to choose from. It’s also reasonably priced at S8.90 for six basic non-protein toppings. They also have fresh juices but I’ve never tried them before. What I like best is their service — the Filipino aunties are always smiley and friendly.(Go to the Cedele a few stores down, and you’ll see what I mean.) Overall, a great place to grab a quick lunch/dinner if you’re in the area.

HANDSDOWNMYFAVOURITESALADSTORE. I actually visit this place at least once a week, which is pretty darn often considering that 1) my lunches are confined to the area around my workplace(which is not City Hall) and 2) I have dinner out 2 – 3 times a week on average. Walked by this place and the Caesar Salad addict in me just had to stop and try their version. WHICHISTHEBESTEVER. For $ 10 you get a huge bowl overflowing with toppings! One thing about them is that they are super generous with the chicken(which comes included in the usual recipe and not one of those«add meat for $ 4» deals)… In fact towards the end of my meal it was all chicken+other toppings in my bowl. Oh and their romaine lettuce is really fresh too! I tried adding more toppings for the first time today and was super impressed with the large portions… mushrooms cost $ 0.50 and they scooped out a sizable amount onto my mixing bowl… was impressed but then the guy scooped the same portion A SECONDTIME! :O Their wraps are pretty good too(and seem more popular than the salads themselves)… well actually their wraps are just their salads in a tortila but ANYWAY… I have problems finishing a salad on its own so I hardly get the wraps, but the one time I tried it– it was also super super super good! Okay I should really stop waxing lyrical about salads now but really please go to this place and keep it alive!

I first came across Simply Wraps at 100AM Mall on Tras St which is their first and only other location. The only reason I tried them in the first place was because I was starving and no other eatery in that mall appealed to me. I ordered the Martian’s Delight and was delighted to find that it was the best salad wrap I’ve ever had. (Martian’s Delight: romaine lettuce, roasted mango chicken, pumpkin, cherry tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, wasabi mayo dressing. I’ll usually have it in a spinach wrap.) I’m hardly in the Tanjong Pagar area so I was delighted to hear they would be opening their 2nd outlet at Raffles City. I’ve been coming to this location regularly since they opened in Jan and simply love it. My only gripe, the portion of mango chicken in the wrap seems to be getting smaller. $ 9.90 is not cheap for a salad wrap so wish they’d be a tad more generous. The last time I went, I asked for a double portion of mango chicken for an extra $ 2.50. On a related note, I am always delighted when served by one particular preparer at this location because he always tops up the mango chicken if he thinks the first preparer has been a little too stingy. 5 out of 10 times I’m at Raffles City now I’ll eat here as I’m trying to get more greens into my diet. This is a must try for you salad & wrap affictionados and Subway-alternative seekers.
